What do you think is the message EHT is trying to give. I am putting this post because I see so much bashing for Durga's and Dev's character. Durga should go on revenge mode, why she is in Goenka mansion, why Dev is doing things etc etc. So I have the following question
- Is justice only for the powerful and those with money
- In a direct battle only those with power and money can alone win
- Will every person who is looking out of justice will be lucky to get a mask like Nithya and then take revenge with someone else's money.
- What about those 100s of people who doesn't have the power and money but wants justice
- Is there no way for them to fight the mighty
- Will always the voice of poor people will be silenced
Can only Durga get the justice , not Nithya. Which message should be apt. That Goenka's can be brought down only by having money and status equal to them or money, status, power on one side and truth alone on other side.
Because I believe as a person the battle has to happen. It has to be head on with both parties knowing they are fighting. It needs to be a battle of life and death. But the current way is not the right way to fight the battle for the right message to emerge.
My take on EHT is this. For the battle to happen the right way for right message to emerge certain things has to happen and whatever is happening now is towards that only. I am not putting anything more as on the day Dayal stuck the deal with Dev I placed the last missing link in the puzzle I had created. The puzzle which I knew was right but something was not right.
But maybe you can think over this questions and then look at the current happenings. Maybe a different picture will emerge for some.

Durga is married to Dev now so obviously it is shown that justice can be achieved only by the rich.
Dev will discover or get told Durga is Nitya then they both will fight together for justice and cleaning up dirt like Shaurya from family. Sudhaaro cum insaaf mission like those B grade 80s films such as Ghar ho toh aisa, Jamai Raja, Biwi ho toh aisi. Pati-patni joint mission. Okay? Or I got it wrong?

so atominis ... Please you tell some suggestions for the character durga to destroy goenkas...if she is not married to any goenkas...
1st as u told she can use the evidence to destroy...
In PoV if she use evidence she can be exposed that she is not Durga ... And Dayal also get punish for her revenge...
Another one that evidence can easily buy by goenkas(think they are most powerful in the world who can buy CBI)
This is the example I can give for u...
Tell some suggestions for this revenge...

Unfortunately in the real world today, only the rich, powerful and influential people win!
They get away with rape, murder, injustices of the worst kind!
The common man can only get justice through an equally powerful but opposing lobby, like the news media. For example in the Jessica Lall case, the Lalls had lost their legal battle against the powerful minister and his killer son. But then the media stepped in and they exposed the truth, the media instigated the masses to revolt and demand justice for Jessica!

In Nitya's case, even the media has been bought by the all powerful Goenkas.

If Nitya didnt have the money and support of Dayal or the face of Durga, then she would have had to use some underhand method like planting a mole in the Goenka's home or office ...or the extreme step of taking the law into her own hands and kill Shaurya and his friends.

In such cases of battle with the Goliaths, the common man/woman would either have to take the law into their own hands (shoot 'em dead) or find some honest, yet powerful journalist to fight on their behalf.

But now Durga's plan is to implode the Goenka family from within. Shes inside the enemy fort now and is chipping away at the walls till they weaken and fall. Or she hopes they will fall.

Sakshi may be too cunning and ruthless for her, but Durga will keep on trying till she succeeds.

Its like a chess game between the 2 main adversaries, one makes her move and waits for reaction from the other. The other responds by making her move...and so it continues!

There was a Savdhaan India real life case where a young woman of middle class background was being stalked and harassed by a powerful local politician.

He threatened her and her family and eventually kidnapped her little brother to force her to accept his lecherous proposition.

Backed into a corner, she approached this guy's political opponent and asked for help. The opponent jumped at the chance and helped her to expose the evil guy and rescue her little brother.

So even the common man can win against the rich and powerful, they only have to use their brains and find out the best path to defeat the enemy.
Nitya and Payal both made many mistakes during the trial, they trusted the wrong people.

Nitya let the lawyer take the only audio-visual proof (why didnt Nitya make copies?) and Payal believed Sakshi when she talked abt marriage.

Nitya paid heavily for her mistakes, now shes back as Durga, albeit with Dayal's money and social status but the brain is still hers. The plans are hers only.

I have given suggestions earlier. If you stalked my posts this much then you must have seen them.

I am not going to repeat my points again.

You think marriage is the ONLY way to get justice? Many bigwigs in real life get exposed without victm's kin marrying them.

Common man can do a lot if they use brain and tenacity. Sabrina Lall and Mr Mattoo are real life examples.

Yes, Anu, I used the Lalls example in my previous post on this page. They got the help of the news media...surely in Kolkata they could have found one single honest newsperson who would report the truth.

Or even in national news media where Goenkas have no control. Or even social media...which is a powerful tool to take the truth to the masses and start a movement to punish the evildoers!

@pallavi your example of the politician is the apt one. By playing the game the way rich plays even a common man can get justice.
I have another Malayalam movie " Drishyam" which sends the same message. It is the fight of a father to save his daughter's future. There was no right and wrong in the movie. It is just that whether the alternative or the rightful approach would have given the girl a safe future. The hero is a middleclass man and he achieves this within his means only. I guess it is being remade into Tamil. I would recommend people to watch that movie with English subtitles. It is a movie that should not be missed.
Coming to Jessica Lal case true Manu Sharma was punished. But is he in jail. Half the time he is on parole one way or the other. As far as I have read the newspaper report Manu Sharma more or less is having a normal life either in parole or a happy life in jail. While Jessica is dead.
And there is another case Soumya rape case in kerala. The accused was a thin man when he was caught. Now he looks hale and healthy in prison. Girl suffered a brutal murder. The accused have been sentenced to noose by High court. But then will he be punished ever. Supreme court, mercy petition, human right activism, re appeal well the accused will live a long happy life in prison while the girl has suffered the most brutal murder.
Maybe because of such things the father in Drishyam has to use the methods he used for his daughter's safety and maybe another father might also use it tomorrow.
Now coming to EHT as pallavi said if the middle class girl can use her brains to get the rival politician and the hero of Drishyam can fool the police why Durga needs to be inside Goenka mansion to take revenge.
Yes she needs to be in Goenka mansion because she is thinking of revenge against Sakshi not justice for Payal. Justice for Payal needs a different fight. If Durga doesn't realize it , destiny will surely make her realize it.

@ Pallavi and Atmonis: There are ample of real life stories where the ordinary people not only challenged the rich and powerful man but also won against them.

First of all, when you pick up a social issue as the theme of a story you are automatically entrusted with a big responsibility. Making the lead even think about marrying her sister rapist was barbaric. Then showing marriage as a weapon to get things is the most weird thing to do.

Coming to think of reality, one simply cannot have a new face like this. Also, the power of the Goenkas is overrated.

political power is the most unstable thing on earth. Power of a person or of an organisation doesn't rest on one person or one family. It is scattered everywhere, An industrialist like Goenka will depend on the politicans, the politicians will on the other hand depends on the media and so on. It is a closed relation where each element helps another. Goenkas simply cannot bully everyone in the town. There is not one Mukherjee in the police force.. You cannot ask a thanedar to work on every single crime related to the Goenkas.

You hear stories how CBI is manipulated. Well its not wrong either but everything depends on the fact that who has formed a govt in the centre. One cannot align to all the political parties in India.

Now coming to the fact on how can Durga avenge the Goenkas. I want to know the objective of this revenge plan. Is it to make the Goenkas suffer to make Payal feel better or to prove that the Mitras were tormented and cheated? It has to be done in the court in my opinion to let everyone know how the Goenkas used their money and power to save a rapist. It cannot be like sakshi ne ek vaar kiya aur ab Durga karegi. It has to end somewhere. The Goenka house , the name, the fame has to fade away. That is the objective.

When the commissioner was let off easily I maintained that he will re appear in the story when the rape case re- opens. I thought now Mathur and Ganguly will also go against the Goenkas. I had too much faith on Dev who filed an RTI to get the details. I was so happy that the case will open and Durga will anonymously give the evidences in the court. Thus, both Dev and Durga will help each other. Also, bringing evidence in the court will not expose Durga but this fake marriage will one day do it.

what happened is nothing new to us. A forced marriage and its after effects. One evil saas and all other melodramatic incidents. They have not put any effort in defining Sakshi's past but are keen on showing was Nitya and Dev's past with those pathetic flashbacks. On the top of it Durga has made herself obvious. What is the point of having a new identity then ?

A love story always is not required. Some stories should be spared from it. Not all people fall in love and marry. Durga could have lived the way she is.

****** There is much difference between negativity and criticism. Everyone is entitled to have their own views*******
