Is it better to learn from experience, or learn from someone's advice?
Obviously someone's advice comes from experience,
but
which one is more affective?

Always listen to other people advices then think and make a decision, that is the smart way to do it. Why to reinvent the wheel when it is been invented.

Well, the best thing to do is to listen to advice from people who have the experience... and even better than that is to get at least three people's advice so that you can see other people's views!

Good Question!

I work well by learning through experience. I don't mind making mistakes because I learn well from them. It sticks in my mind (and often wallet 😆) better.

I go into any experience with an open mind and the expectation of learning, regardless of whether I fail or succeed - because even in my failure I've succeeded in learning something and growing from it.

However, I also take in the advice of others into consideration. There are those who like to give free advice to feel important. I pay heed to what they say and sort out the useful information. Then there are those who've experienced a similar situation (no two are ever the same because of environment and waht you bring to it). Their advice is valuable because it provides a perspective from someone who know what he/she is talking about.

I say, listen to advice, sort through and take the important lesson, but don't shy away from having the experience as well... because you just never know.

i believe in teh experience.
everyone makes mistakes but thats how one learns.
saying something is diff frm doing it.
like loving someone is diff frm saying you love someone.
but taking advice is not always bad. frm elders or young ones, its a gr8 communication way as well. 😊

Take advice and guidance from experienced person, weigh it and than make a decision. But most of the time people only learn from their own mistakes or experiences.

simi rocks.. nice post there 👏

listen to advice of an experienced person. (an experience that is applicable to current age)

experience is however, a much more effective learning process (in many cases)

QTpie you make me 😳

Seems like the consensus is to take advice and learn from your mistakes - anyone want to share exemplifying experiences? 😉 A few of my own past blunders come to mind 😆
