Hey Everyone! I am new here and also just recently started watching TVD. I caught up with all seasons a few days ago and now am watching the epi's per week as they release. (Gosh it is torture to wait so long for a epi)
Now i have seen some other members give their reviews on the epi's last week so though i could voice out my opinions as well about this week's epi.
Okay so overall i loved the episode, and that would be mainly because my two absolute favourite characters were there throughout the epi, Damon and Bonnie!! ( I am a Delena fan people, so i am not trying to say that i love them as in together, i love them as the characters and both just being friends.) And the good news is that they haven't forgotten anyone or anything, because i did have a slight doubt on that at the end of last episode where they were just happily having breakfast. Alright so basically, they in some weird way travel back in time (10th May 1994) but are stuck there all alone..well together but still alone, just them two. The question here is that how did this happen? As Bonnie mentioned, that it must have been done by Grams however she did not give any hint on how to get out of it. As many of you lot also probably would have predicted or thought, i think that Bonnie somehow needs to channel energy from that eclipse in order to get themselves out of there. However she is still not a witch like she used to be and I really hope that, that unknown person can help her with that. And about that unknown person, i think it could be the one who helped Grams to make sure Bonnie would end up there. Or it also could be Amara (The Love interest of Silas) because she too was the Anchor, before Bonnie was. I know she died or so and was a human, but so were Silas and Katherine and they still ended up on the other side right? Just a thought, not sure if it would be right or not as I am not really sure how she would be able to help them get back, and also she was stoned for 2000 years so i don't think she would know anything about how to solve that puzzle or so...unless she also took a person along with her like Bonnie did.
Now another thing which i am highly confused on, is where is everyone? No people around there...who deliverers the paper everyday? Or does it just magically show up?? Or am i just thinking too deep into this?? 😆
Alright lets move on from them both, woah i said quite a lo on them! Anyway my next focus: Elena! Now it pained me to see her suffer this way without Damon! She indeed is so deeply in Love with him that she just can't deal with it and managed to get herself compelled by Alaric to forget him, or replace those memories at least. I just loved the editing the team did when Elena was talking about her individual memories of him, they would show those scenes and it was a treat to watch them! For me it was phenomenal the way they both couldn't find that one moment when she knew she loved him, and when they did...it was just one simple moment. I had thought maybe when she kissed him or felt attraction towards him, but in actual it was just one simple and beautiful moment that she had and felt, and it changed everything. I just loved it! However I hate the fact that Elena made Alaric forget her feelings for Damon. I think she is being a total coward, and more than Stefan she is the one who lost hope! She has done nothing, Not a single thing in order to bring Damon back while Stefan at least tried to!! She hasn't even been helping Caroline in order to return to Mystic Falls!! All she done is becoming some type of magic Drug Addict who wants to hallucinate Damon! This just Angers me! Everyone has been trying to do something while she has done nothing at all! Caroline is on Break the Bubble' Duty, Stefan tried to find ways in order to even find out where Damon and Bonnie went, Enzo even has been trying to do something for Damon, Alaric has been providing info to Stefan and Caroline, Luke wants to get rid of his guilt by helping Elena, Matt is trying to protect his home town for the future and then we have the Gilbert Siblings! Whining about the loss of the ones they love instead of doing something to get them back! Sorry for rant everyone...
And also i would like to add, what will Alaric and Elena or anyone do when Damon does come back? Because Elena now remembers him as a Monster' who she is not in Love with and nor do i think can Alaric make those memories come back. If you lot remember then Klaus had compelled Stefan to forget them until he would say so, which he did ("Now you remember..") and that made Stefan remember them both, but Alaric did not do any of such thing, unless he did which they did not show to the audience. And also compulsion is not actually erasing the memory, one just does not remember it, and Elena's Love could be that strong to fight through the compulsion, because if i remember correct then i think it was either Uncle John or Caroline's Dad who could not be compelled because they had learnt to resist it. Now i could be wrong on this as i do not remember it that well...
Moving on to the other Gilbert, then i still think he is being a total douche-bag for not doing anything at all but i think my heart melted when he was leaving that voice mail which he does everyday to tell Bonnie how angry and hurt he is/was with her telling him about her death over the phone. I do actually feel bad for this kid...
Onto Stefan, well for me i don't think he took the right decision at all. He shouldn't just leave his friends like that even though i get it, he want's to start a fresh but Caroline certainly does not deserve this. She has helped him so much and also i totally think Caroline deserves so much better! Yes i get it that Stefan has been searching for a way but he shouldn't have given up this soon. And yes i agree with Caroline that he is the one who has always cared and i had expected more from him. Plus i hate him for making her cry, and Love Enzo for that threat of misery he gave him. But feel bad for Ivy..she did not deserve to die, she was really sweet.
Okay i am gonna stop my review here then...and please note that this is honestly just my opinion about the epi and i do not expect everyone to agree with it, so if you did no like something about something i said please be mature and just deal with it like adults. And also guys do let me know what you thought about the epi, or your predictions. It will be interesting to see a different angle...
