Shaan and Sonu were the comperes of the show Saregama and saregamapa respectively and not participants of the show. I think you might want to reference Kunal Ganjawala , Soham chakraborthy or Shreya Ghoshal for that effect.

I think the format for II and Saregamapa are different. What you mention above definetly adheres to Saregamapa...they are more about the voice and less about performance because in the end they are looking for a voice that is a good playback voice. But on the other II is looking for a performer who can carry off private albumns and do live shows.

II is all about the best playback singer. Both Abhijeet and Sandeep are great playback singers now recording albums. Performace should be good but one doesnt have to act like a bollywood heroin on stage and indulge in romances.

Are we talking about the same Suhit here? 😆 Did you hear him at all duing the piano rounds?

Ankita is there because she can sing AND she is creative in her performances. A rare combination.
Deepali has a fantastic voice and when she adds the performing aspect, it is really mesmerising.

As for the so called matka jhatkas, that is the way songs are presented in Bollywood no? Would you rather the girls stood like statues and sang (yuckkk)? And the boys have been doing their 'matkas and jhatkas' since day 1. No one commented on them?

Charu on the other hand has reached her peak. Her singing is weak. She shoul have been sent home instead of Smita.

lets see what happens in future.
