He has Chinese origin but his heart is purely Indian and he has already won the hearts of many Indians. Meiyang Chang is perhaps the first ethnic Chinese person to enter the final round of Indian Idol. He is also very popular in Singapore where many people watch Indian Idol 3 at Sony Entertainment Television channel. In the first week of the Gala Round of Indian Idol 3, Meiyang Chang looked very solid and the fans voted for him to save him.
