How Can Rahat Live with Himself?

I have been watching the side plot of RA HA FA unfold with growing dismay bordering on disgust. Until now, I thought that Rahat was a troubled and weak man --one that preferred to be a victim of fate, rather than an active agent wishing to change the circumstances of his life. If Rahat was indeed such a person, he would have been a wounded and frustrated --but harmless-- hero.

Today's episode however has cast Rahat in a rather pernicious light, where he is actively engaged in defrauding a helpless and disabled woman. Rahat not only fell into Faizu's whimsical tantrums of wanting the Haya-Toy back even after he himself had rejected as defective, but also became an active co-conspirator in cheating poor Haya. Rahat courted Haya and proposed marriage without revealing the circumstances of this so-called marriage. Today Rahat inserted himself into a conversation between Faiz and Haya, just as Haya was about to reveal that she and Rahat have loved each other. Rahat not only suppressed the truth, but was shamelessly conspiring against Haya, literally behind her back. This, in my book, is unconscionable, where you use the person that you supposedly love to fulfill the whims of another.

Further, thinking back to how Haya got married to Faiz in the first place, I always thought that Haya could not lipread Rahat's enunciation of Faiz's name when he brought the proposal on his brother's behalf, but now I think that Rahat might have deliberately covered his mouth when he articulated Faiz's name, which led to Haya being in the dark about the man she was going to marry. Will Rahat ever develop a conscience? Will we even care to watch to find out?

I don't think that Rahat intentionally misled Haya with her first nikkah to Faiz although I did think it was weird that Rahat thought that Haya would agree to marry Faiz. I do agree with you that it is unforgivable to mislead her into a marriage that she clearly doesn't want. This whole track is a monumental train wreckšŸ˜”! She wants to be married to HIM, not his brother and intentionally misleading her into thinking she's going to be married to the man she loves just so her heart can get broken a second time is cruel, however noble his intentions are šŸ’”. Does he really think that Faiz will be happy in a marriage to a woman who doesn't love him and actually loves his brother šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼? Or that Haya and Faiz will have a happy life together šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼? Or that unintentionally taking advantage of a girl's disability doesn't make him just as bad as his demon aunt šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼? This entire storyline is ridiculous and I personally can't wait for Haya to kick Rahat AND Faiz to the curb for using her as a toy in their "nikkah game". However much I wanted Haya and Rahat to be together, I think their relationship has become tainted and if Rahat doesn't respect Haya enough to be honest with her, then he doesn't deserve her . I want Haya to go live with Sanam. I saw Aahil treat Haya better at her nikkah than I've seen Rahat or Faiz treat her. Rahat and Faiz both suck right now. Rahat for letting Haya think that she's marrying him and Faiz for being dumb enough to think that Haya should forgive him and would actually marry him again after what he did and said to her. šŸ˜’
