What is the key difference between Sakshi and Durga. The difference is the fact that Sakshi's action whatever they are bad or outright evil stems from her love for her son. Her love for Shaurya is the driving force behind her actions.
Coming to Durga the drive behind her actions is the hatred for Goenka's. In other words her hatred for Sakshi outweights her love for Payal.
In any battle when love clashes with hatred the final victory only goes to love. Because it is believed that power of love anyday is much stronger than the power of hatred.
Sakshi's love for Shaurya makes her instincts sharper. She is able to observe everything around. Every person, every movement and makes plan so that Shaurya can be protected. She doesn't spare anyone or anything that comes near her dear son.
Whereas Durga hatred for Sakshi limits her view only to Shaurya and she ignores the other things happening around her. She is unable to take clues as she is only concerned about having power over Shaurya to corner Sakshi.
If her love for Payal had outweighed her hatred for Sakshi she would have differently looked around. If Sakshi closed the door to Shaurya she would have tried to open another door to get Payal justice. She has taken it as a personal battle against Sakshi, whereas Sakshi actually doesn't have anything personal against Durga. She is doing what she always does. Protect her son. If anyone comes near Shaurya she will react, react with all the venom.
Durga will go on failing if she doesn't understand this basic principle. Her love for Payal has to to outweigh her hatred for Sakshi if she needs to stand a chance against Sakshi.

Love is dead in Durga dey. She is filled with pure hatred. Hatred for Sakshi, hatred for Shaurya. Just look at her actions
- Decide to marry her sister's rapist so that she can settle a score against Sakshi and Shaurya
- Ignore the security of her sister and leave her open to attack. When she was thinking about Sakshi's move she always looked at where Sakshi will attack her. Didn't think for once the attack could be on Payal
- Dev taking Payal out to that apartment was not right. But he tried to revive her beautiful memories. When Durga saw Payal laughing seeing her argument with Dev she didn't wait to analyze that smile. Dev pleaded with her she need not answer his question but wait sometime so that the positive reaction Payal got can be continued by talking about some memories. Neither Dev's pleading nor Payal's smile could bring out humanity in her and she dragged Payal back to rehab. Her need to destroy Sakshi was much much more than Payal's cure for her to do that.
This one action proved how strong her hatred was compared to love.
Earlier also Nithya lost because her hatred for Goenka's outweighed her love for Payal which made her leave that poor girl alone for Sakshi to brainwash her and make her change the statement. She was more talking around giving dhamki's to people than doing some solid action to protect her sister.
She is doing the same mistake now as Durga. She cannot win.

Very well put.
As many others in his forum have been mentioning time and again, Durga could've found so many more ways to hurt Sakshi than only going after Shaurya.

It is true that Shaurya is Sakshi's strength and weakness, but without her power and money, Sakshi really is nothing!

Like Akash's mysterious boss, Durga could've also worked behind the scenes, getting other people to do her work. She could've focused on Payal's recovery instead and kept her away from the Goenka's!

Durga goes like a one man army while Sakshi uses her network superbly. Durga has so much over confidence that her plans cannot fail
Whereas Sakshi even if she loses brings out alternate plans to win the game back. Only Love stronger than hers can defeat Sakshi.
Because with Love you listen to your heart and use your head. Whereas in hatred you ignore the voice of the heart and just work with head.

Well summed up.
If Durga had fired up with love and protective instinct for Payal and her deceased parents then result would be different.

Durga has made it a personal ego clash.

Also she is delusional about law of karma or law of averages. Sorry but that doesn't happen always. She often fails to be careful and thinks others will have to fail, pay for their sins etc. But fate doesn't transpire that way always.
Then she gets angrier how can she lose again. It goes on.

Sakshi is fine tuned. She will consider every possibility. She learns from every blow. Durga gets frazzled but Sakshi instead learns from each failure of hers.

Sakshi has learnt the very hard way. Through a childhood spent alone on streets. She never had anything to call her own earlier. Hence her "love" for her kids is something else. It is possessive and protective to the point of extremes. She cannot afford to lose it.

Losing what you had is very different from clinging to something you never had. The latter has way more desperation and determination associated with it.

I agree Durga's love for Payal has to outweigh it all - hatred for Goenkas and guilt for her mistakes. Only then her focus shall be stronger.
