Shahid, Emraan to get High Together for Udta Punjab?

After Ishqiya and its sequel, Dedh Ishqiya, director Abhishek Chaubey is now moving to another subject set in the Northern hinterland. His next, titled Udta Punjab, is a thriller that explores the rampant drug use in the state and the illegal nexus which makes this possible. Shahid Kapoor, who has become the critic's favourite with Haider, is already on board. And now Mirror has learnt that Chaubey has offered the parallel lead role to Emraan Hashmi.

Revealed a source, "There are two central characters in Chaubey's script. There are traces of dark humour which is why the director believes that Emraan will be perfect for the part. He recently approached the actor for the role, and Emraan has responded positively. Getting Shahid and Emraan together will be a casting coup of sorts. The film also has a strong female character and talks are on with several actresses." When asked if Emraan has given him the nod, Chaubey said shortly, "It will not be appropriate or fair for me to comment about it at this point." Produced by Anurag Kashyap's Phantom films, Udta Punjab goes on floors in January.

Very true...though I don't know how Emraan would look dancing with Shahid!!...we will see!...😆
