Thanks Mary. A compliment from you, is flattering to me. I love your writing. I purposely didn't use the word Sanam. Coz we all know who he is talking about. Please check out the ARSHI VM on Hungry Eyes, it is superb. One of the best I have ever seen, and I have seen SO many ARSHI videos over the past 3 years! This is right up in my top 5.

Thanks for the compliment. I think I may think of writing something else very soon! Just don't have a lot of time at the moment, but will try and find the time! :)

This is really beautiful. I was kind of lost where this is going but then you gave me these lines:
It was like saving her had saved him. Saving her life, he had felt like he got redemption from his sins. He was able to take off the bandage he covered his hand with. The hand that had held that gun. The hand he never wanted to look at. He had saved her yes... But she had saved him! She had given him salvation
I have only watched the show since last week and I have wanted to ask the significant of Aahil's arm being bandaged. Thank you for the revelation.
Oh god! Now that scene of him unwrapping the bandage is making so much more sense. He believes in a chance. He believes he is not the worst.
And then the end- it was so emotional. He felt healed. A once heartless man now owned a soul.
I am impressed. Thank you so much for sharing this piece.

This is soo beautiful mandy!! I dnt have words to explain!👏

you have pictured Aahil and his feelings with just the right kind of words.❤️ so marvellously amazing!

Reading it was a pure pleasure. From fast to last..each n every word every emotion was gripping! It was like reading his thoughts from inside!!

Please mandy write more such One Shots. You are a prolific writer. Please do write more.🤗

and though every word was beautiful..but these are the lines i loved most.😳

Tonight she was looking ethereal.
She was in black. He was getting
engaged. She had chosen the ring.
He had put it on Nida. But his eyes
had been on her. All night. Just on
her. Since the night he saved her, and she had clung to him and asked
him not to leave her, he had not
been able to stop thinking of her. All
he thought about day and night was
her. HOW did she not know what he
was feeling? How could she too not feel this feeling that was threatening
to overwhelm him?? Every time he
looked at her, he was sure that his
eyes were screaming his emotions. It
was like a storm was raging inside
him. How could she be oblivious to the clouds in his eyes?? Aahil Raza
Ibrahim who had always had
something to say, and never went
backwards on coming forward, was
lost for words. How ironic that he
can't express his feelings?? But this time it was different. This was not
about passing some smart comment
or being articulate about some
meaningless topic. This was his heart.
His heart was longing for someone.
Someone who appeared not to know or return his feelings. He had got
engaged to someone else, hoping
she would notice. Hoping she would
care?? But at a glance it appeared
she didn't! All he can do is keep
staring at her... Hoping she would read what his eyes are telling her.
Words his lips can't form.

It was like saving her had saved him.
Saving her life, he had felt like he got
redemption from his sins. He was
able to take off the bandage he
covered his hand with. The hand that
had held that gun. The hand he never wanted to look at. He had
saved her yes... But she had saved
him! She had given him salvation.
Salvation from the prison that was
his guilt. In saving her, he had felt
like he was worth something. That maybe he was not that bad after all?
Someone needed him? She had held
him and asked him not to leave.
Asked him to save her. Asked him to
protect her. Those words where
etched in his soul. Would she EVER understand what those words meant
to him?? She didn't even remember
saying them! That was the irony.
Since his childhood memories that
haunt him, this was the first time that
a memory had had this power over him. The memory of what it felt like
to be held by her. What it felt like to
be needed by her. It was like that
memory had erased the dark ones in
his mind. Brought in the light! No matter what happened in his life
now, that memory will be the single
most defining memory of his life. The
moment he felt whole. The moment
he got his soul back. For that, he
would always be in her debt. No money could ever pay it back. Even
though it hurt like hell...that maybe
she can never be his...having met her
and having loved her is not
something he could ever regret!

And if we were ever able to see his thoughts this would be it.

and i loved the lyrics! It fits so perfectly!😳 Truly a lovely OS. 😃

and thanks a ton for the pm.🤗

Thank you for your amazing comment! I just loved reading it. These thoughts just came to me when I heard that song again. I thought about how Aahil was unable to express his feelings. I felt that this is what he was thinking in his mind!

I had seen comments that said that Aahil fell in love too fast! In a sense, this OS is my response to all that. The fact was that he was always aware of Sanam. Their equation was different from the moment they met. He felt some sort of pull towards her. But both their egos are such and also the way they met and the angst that was created, stopped them from ever pausing to think of the draw they had towards each other!

But leaving that aside, I think Aahil fell in love so fast with Sanam, after that graveyard incident, because for the first time in his life, he felt truly needed. He felt special. Not for being Aahil Raza Imbrahim, the Chote Nawab, or the rich playboy or anything like that. He just felt special just for being Aahil. Sanam held on to him and said "Muje Chorkar Math Jayiye. Muje Bachalo Aahil"!! This was as basic as it gets! It is a man's psychology to want to be needed! They get their validation from that. A man hates feeling like he is not someone you "Need". That is why some men have a hard time with overly independent women. They feel like they don't "need" them! I knows it's their problem, not ours. But this is a fact.

Aahil also felt that in saving Sanam and also having HER validate his actions by telling him she needs him and that she wants him to save her and protect her...he somehow got some sort of redemption for the sin he committed by killing his father! A life for a life sort of thing! From that moment, Sanam was this object of passion for Aahil. She became irrevocably linked to his sense of self! That is why he took off that bandage. He finally had the guts to look at his hands. Because now these were the hands of a saviour. Not a killer!

VERY long response. But your comment warranted it! :)

Thanks for your lovely comments and compliments. This piece started off almost on an off thought. When I heard Hungry eyes again. Also, I thought of the fact of how Aahil suddenly started to feel stronger emotions for Sanam than he did before. Saving someone's life can do that. But this was more!

The fact that he saved her meant a lot to him. The fact that she clung to him and asked him not to leave, that she told him to SAVE her, meant a lot to him. He thinks of himself as someone who "took" a life. Now suddenly he is someone who "saved" a life. Can you imagine how you would feel towards someone who now makes you feel like a saviour, not a killer?? If Aahil had NOT fallen in love with Sanam, that would have been the surprise after this!!

She gave him redemption from his guilt. He was able to look at the hand he always kept bandaged. It's like he took off the bandage covering him for so long. He was set free!
