Salman Khan plays the good samaritan again

Anand Balraj was languishing in a hospital with mounting bills when Salman Khan came to his rescue. The actor who had worked with Salman in 'Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya', was rendered immobile after an accident on Marine Drive a couple of months ago. A taxi had rammed into Anand while he was getting out of his car and rendered both his knees ineffective. After a long stay at a South Mumbai hospital, Anand found himself with an empty bank account.

Then one fine day, Aditya Panscholi, called him. Says Aditya, " I had casually called up Anand. I didn't even know he had met with an accident. We had worked together on several films in the past, so I had just called to ask what he is doing these days."

Aditya then decided to foot the doctor's bills and mentioned Anand's plight to Salman during a conversation. "I was very disturbed after Anand told me about his condition. I spoke about this to Salman bhai. He immediately decided to lend a helping hand and financed a major surgery for Anand," he added confirming this, Anand told Mirror, "Sometime back, I made a film starring Veena Malik, Daal Mein Kuch Kala Hai. The film sank without a trace and I lost lots of money. And then I hit the bottle. Then the accident happened."

Anand is back on his feet again now. "Salman and I used to meet very frequently in our younger days. And now, we are back in touch. He has even arranged a physiotherapist for me, whose fees are being paid by him. Thanks to Salman bhai and Aditya, I can walk again," said Anand.
