Bang Bang vs Haider Release
Screen Count in India
There are many reports floating in media about
false screen count for Bang Bang and Haider.
Confusion starts when official figures are also
not reporting the correct ones for whatever
reasons. When there is clash of films among big
production houses there is clash of egos also.
Hence, reporting bigger number of screens might
solve their personal egos or at least something.
Kick is by far the biggest release of 2014 and
followed closely by Singham returns. There is
about 10% increase in screens for combined
Bang Bang and Haider release from times of
Singham Returns and films alongwith that.
There is around 12% increase in Screens from
Kick which is also big as just 2 months are
passed from then on.
As reported by exhibitors who are generally
neutral and give true figures. As per them Bang
Bang is released in the region of 3400-3600
screens in India. Hindi version is released in
around 3100-3200 screens approx. Coming to
Haider film is released in around 1300-1400
screens in India. Hence, combined all India all
version screen count of both Bang Bang and
Haider is around huge 4500-4800 screens
approx. Hope this clears all confusion now.
Release Screen Count on 2nd October, 2014 -
Bang Bang - 3400-3600 (3100-3200 Hindi).
Haider - 1300-1400.
