Aru..Its named Sphinx coz sphinx is the creature than asks riddles to travellers and doesnt let it pass unless they asnwer it...also, its mentioned in HP...the final task...when it asks the spider riddle to HP..so hence the name Sphinx...
CSA..the clever sphinx association term was coined by Priya(an old member..the one who made the Riddle Nickname Thread)

so here we go...

the Answer to Aru's riddle no. 2...

Ans. The Vanishing Cabinets

solved by-Anirudh ;) Congrats..

Like a pair of socks, a pair of shoes... -Be it socks or shoes, they always exist in a pair, and each half of the pair looks more or less like its second half, just like the vanishing cabinets, they exist in a pair, and more or less look similar..

We both are brothers,we complete each other... -both the cabinets were like each other's second half, the completing half, just like true brothers...while one would make something disappear, the other one would complete the action of making that very thing appear...

Ordinary at first sight, -when you see them(visualize them), they look like any other almirah or cabinet...

though different from others when you give us a try... -but when you go ahead to explore its hidden secrets, then is the time that you actually realise that they aren't just 'any other' cabinet, they can vanish things,something that others can't do, they are different...

Be it good or bad, lost or found... -whenever things/people got misplaced...by mistake(when the Weasley twins had made a slytherin quidditch player disappear, they didnt know that it was due to the cabinet) or by intention (Malfoy made the death eaters appear intentionally, he was well aware of the orders that Voldemort had given him)...when that slytherin player got 'lost'...that too for the 'good' of the game and its rules, for fair play, for Harry's welfare too by extension, or the death eaters 'found' their way inside Hogwarts, for the 'bad' i must say, 'cause they caused so much destructions and injuries and pains and...dreaded deaths too...

We are the culprits behind it all... -it was only because of the vanishing cabinets that all of it was possible...

here is the explanation, I hope i did justice...

now as nobody is posting the riddle, let me give another one ;)
