There is nothing wrong in being called a bai. It is actully very respectful term used in Marathi language for women.
For example 'Kalam waali Bai' used by Nana Patekar for Dimple Kapadia in krantiveer.
It has been made into a derogatory term towards women by brats like Karishma who happen to have rich parents.
