Abhiara’s Marriage
Hi there. Here I am, this is me and there are many other places on earth i'd rather be :) :)... with my comp of course so that i can still write these posts :)
Well the show started with the faculty and the cadets sorting out the trust issue among them.... there was a scene between Abhimanyu and Aalekh.... where both were still sorting out their own issues in life rather than each others'.... so Aalekh's main grouse was 'i've been hurt many times in life' and Abhimanyu's response was 'i'm not going to be one of the people who've hurt you'.... both still speaking from personal world views.... then Aalekh asks a perceptive question (he always gets the perceptive lines, probing questions.... i love that this layer is given to this particular cadet).... 'are you tense about using a gun'.... i liked the little smile that Abhimanyu comes up with before he moves away without answering.... it wasnt a wide smile of someone saying 'of course not'.... but nor was it a 'yes you are right' kind of smile.... it was more like 'thats what one would think.... but lets see what happens'.... which made the not answering more ambivalent.... Abhimanyu could have left in a certain way and suggested either a yes or a no.... but Gaurav did it in such a way that both answers became possible.... and i like ambivalence, so me happy!
Alekh says "apun ko aadat hai…. it was being accustomed to bitter reality of life. I consider it very real and meaningful. Abhi replies "main appko hurt karne wale ki list mein shamil nahi hona chahata…very apt reply neither commenting on his experience nor contesting the distrust. I too liked Alekh's line" apka problem kya hai, banduk uthana ya apun ko…this is very deep meaning line. Abhi hears him just amazed or numbed and then smiles as if he had deliberated and turns to move on- marvelous scene. In fact his non response makes it more appealing. You have rightly put it Shevs-"That's what one would think".
To come to the test, the 'William Tell' test.... well it was very well intentioned and definitely different from what happens on tv.... but when Puneet Issar announced that the test was called the William Tell test it also became very funny at one level.... anyway, through the test they kept showing Capt Rajveer and Abhimanyu at regular intervals and thats about all that was of Gaurav in today's show...
I won't comment or else you would take me to be a harsh critique…. but perhaps one day………………but it made me reminded of the scene in Salman-Sanjay Dutt-Karishma starrer there is a similar scene🤣
I really want to talk about the voice over (Naveen's commentary) though.... there are days when it says really silly things and there are days when it says sensible things that tie up with the things happening on the show.... but there is a smugness to this whole 'i am naveen and i shall tell you what this moment means in the larger context of life and learning' that i personally find very irritating.... voice overs can make serials interesting.... they can tie various stories together.... i personally loved the voice overs at the end of Ally Mcbeal and Desperate Housewives.... both were innovative in certain ways.... and in lrl too there are days when it is interesting.... but it shouldnt always try for being significant.... a good voice over can be to the point, even witty at times (who says ghosts dont have a sense of humour) and get people thinking.... not tell them at every moment exactly how the character is feeling, why and how to deal with it etc..... thats the actor's job, not the commentator's!
May be you are right. My view is perhaps Naveen is fond of some people and he knows them so he tells us about them others he is less fond off and doesn't know them so he doesn't comment but makes observations. What you are seeking for is a better presentation and depth into what is shown to us. That's what I seek but from all aspects of story.
Also, how are cadets' lives not in danger?...thats the stupidest statement i ever heard.... are they using false ammunition?... if not, then the person's life is in danger.... you cant shoot at someone and ensure that they shall only be injured, not die.... this is not a Rajnikant film with a pre fabricated, miraculous bullet :)
Yes that's ridiculous and also the tests shown. So very inappropriate for in-training officers!!!!! They can lay hands on something more sensible.
Overall though i think the show has picked up pace well.... though my mother thinks its going too slow and cant wait to know who the vice-principal is going to be.... so you have her opinion and mine to choose from 😃
I agree with your mother-is this track worth it?😕
Finally, on Monday we shall see the two best officers slug it out for a job that neither of them seems to particularly want.... here's to an interesting episode. 😊
I hope there is better story to look forward too😊

Yes you are right neither contesting the distrust nor the experince.... thats very well put 👏 👏

Sweetheart you can be as critical as you like and want to be.... thats why we are all here on a forum... to read each other's opinions, think about things and also have some fun in the process.... so dont wait for any one day, just start your bashing now 😃I

Agreed.

Agreed 😆 😆.... though i was less outraged since i had less expectations!

Will definitely tell my mom that someone agrees with her!! 😃
I hope there is better story to look forward too😊
Same here!

thanks for the analysis shvetal.... 😊 i really liked the alekh-abhi scene. 😊
but did u notice the clipping for next episode..it was something like abhi puts his gun down..without shooting the target..... there were expreions like he couldn't use a gun against a person..just to win a test. 😕
I agree Shweta, this is significant if he does keep the gun down then does it kill his soul, his internal turmoil wont be resolved. So I do find that interesting
