So I told myself that I would try my best to catch the movie before my bday (8th Oct). And luckily and thankfully I was able to find a really good copy of the movie online and finally watched the movie today. I had a pretty awful weekend that I don't even want to get into and then I thought maybe my football team can make it somewhat better by winning on Monday night - but not only did they lose, they lost TERRIBLY! And then I had to hear crap that 'the end of their dynasty' or 'their time is over' crap! Since I had an evening class, I thought why not watch the movie since its in great quality. And FINALLY I watched it.
Daymn! What a great movie. Everyone acted so well. It was so refreshing seeing Rani in a never before seen cop avatar! She was kick ass in her role. She deserves a lot of recognition for the role she portrayed. I'm so proud this movie worked for her and did well. Its a great awareness film that was made in a positive limelight. So many people shunned her off even before the movie's release. She proved them wrong. It was so disturbing to read the actual statistics at the end of the movie. That is so sad. People in this world can be so cruel and I always fail to understand what in the world do they gain in world do they gain in bringing such harm upon children. Just recently there is a missing UVA student case that is now being linked to another student disappearance case 5 years ago. Crazy huh?
I'm glad this movie brought awareness to people around the world, not just India. I hope that child trafficking stops completely. It is so so so wrong and just seeing those children being tortured is so disturbing. Hope this movie receives some sort of recognition at the award functions. Doesn't have to win any category, but it certainly deserves recognition.
