Usually, actors believe that comedy is a tough genre. But popular singers Mika and Shaan, who are debuting as actors in Balwinder Singh Famous Ho Gaya, feel they have a natural flair for comedy.

Says Mika, "The movie isn't on the lines of Govinda's comedy, but people will laugh at our idiotic behaviour. We still haven't reached the level of doing actual comedy." Shaan feels that if you're a singer, you have a sense of rhythm and timing. He adds, "Kishore Kumar was one of the greatest comedians. He would walk and talk in rhythm and his dialogues had a flow." Ask him what made him try acting, and he says, "I had received acting offers in the past that I refused and those films did well. Now I have crossed 40 and I can't offer much as a singer, so I took up acting."
Mika, who turned producer with this film, states, "After 10 days of shoot, meri toh band baj gayee because my shows were suffering, and since the film was delayed because of me, I decided to produce it as well." While the film has a quirky title, both actors are tight-lipped about who plays the title role. "All we can say is that there are many characters trying to prove that they are Balwinder Singh just to grab a share in property," says Mika.
