Hey Guys I didn't know where to post this. Hopefully I am allowed to open a topic promoting another show and if it is against the rules I apologize in advance and topic can be closed.

So guys Rangrasiya BROKE MY HEART, not just that it ended but it is no secret what happened to Rudra and Paro and how it made us all cry and we are still crying. You know when something tragic happens in your life you look towards something else to cheer you up to replace the sad memory atleast I do.

I heard great things about Humsafar, Pakistani drama but never got around to watching it. Guess what I finally watched it and IT WAS BLOODY BRILLIANT. The story in itself is nothing new it is a typical story but everything else was indescribable from acting, to the chemistry, to the dialogues, to the setup and motivation of characters. It is very simple at its core nothing too overcomplicated, no silly drama and presented aesthetically and when I cried I didn't cry because writers had done something stupid to kill the story it was genuine heart break that was realistically presented that went with the setup of the story and you cried for the characters and last but not least the title song is out of this world infact I have replayed it like a thousand times and it has replaced RR title song for me. They are no Rudra and Paro because it is a Pakistani drama and they are more conservative in display of romance on TV but after watching Humsafar I realized maybe that is what is wrong with hindi shows we are too caught up in the roll in the hay, button tying and skin showing type scenes we forget what it means to be in love. Ashar and Khairad only hold hands they don't even hug there is no grand consummation scene but it takes nothing away from their love. I am not dissing Rudra and Paro guys so don't mistaken me, RUDRA AND PARO ARE STILL NUMERO UNO theirs was and is a brilliant once in a lifetime passionate love story, but what I realized with Humsafar is that not every couple need to be like Rudra and Paro for it to be a great love story.

So guys all those who are still suffering from Rangrasiya withdrawal which set the standard so high there is no way anything on Indian TV right now will match what Rangrasiya represented, so for all of you I recommend watching HUMSAFAR and ZINDAGI GULZAAR HAI absolutely amazing love stories, story telling at its best. No hug scenes, no kissing scenes, not even trip fall catch scenes, only dialogues guys story told purely through its script and display of acting, because you don't have the liberty of distracting the audience by making a hot actor take his shirt off so imagine the quality of dialogues people actually have to talk sense. The other amazing thing is that these Pakistani shows are fixed episodes, only 23 and 26 or so, a start middle and end I salute Pakistani TV format it is amazing idea if only we had that here we won't see drivel on TV. They both have Fawad Khan and he is the new pin up boy everyone is obsessed with him and after watching his shows I realize why the girls drool over him he is great, rare combination of looks and talent in one package just like Ashish.

Yep I totally agree with u. I watched humsafar and the portrayal of their love was done so subtly that it was so easy to watch. No overacting. Just pure talent from the makers and actors. Oh and I fell in love with fawad after that drama!

RR wasn't about trip & fall, it was a soulmate story. This kind of soul connection isn't found every day. I watched humsafar a year back. the story is good but I didn't find the kind of soul connection between the leads as parud had. Pl don't even compare Parud' soul connection with the love story of humsafar leads. The difference between humsafar & RR is , RR was the love story of soul connects whereas humsafar was like any other love story.
FYI, there was more to Parud than just trip & fall, dori, consummation

Harshuu she was not comparing RR and Humsafar. She already said RR is in a league of its own...that it can't ever be replaced...that the magic of Rudra and Paro cannot ever be recreated...

She was only suggesting this as an alternative to the run-of-the-mill love stories on tv right now...

LA!! Great to see a post from you!! For a second there I thought you were referring to 'Humsafars', and then I read your post.I haven't seen the serial you refer to. P'haps I will. But am disinclined to invest emotion in another serial after RR. Planning to catch up on old episodes of RR and IPK and read all the fan-fic that I didn't when both were playing.
But great to know you found a substitute. Am eagerly waiting for the next Ashish or/and Sanaya serial, just dipping into others until then. 😊
