In true Life OK style, the second episode was as awesome as the first episode. Life OK shows so far have not failed to impress me. And especially when they have Akshay Kumar as the host of a reality show then it's bound to be impressive. Now on to the episode.Akshay's entry - Most hosts would keep safe and shoot on the ground, but not a select few. And Akshay is one of those select few. He chooses to start the episode on the dance floor and looks as comfortable as if he's sitting in a couch and talking. Well that's Akshay for you.
Sanam's performance - He's the one most of the contestants are scared of and rightfully so. He just had to start and I was lost in his performance. He is so flawless. Every move just seemed to flow out after the next one so nicely. And just when I thought his act would have no dares, he had some good moves on the absolute edge as well. And he got green from both. Totally deserving!
Emily's performance - Her starting was too cool. The way she climbed up to the stage was something new and cool. I like she chose a Bollywood music number, Sunny Sunny, for her performance. It shows she's trying to become part of the show really. Akshay made a good point that she's the person to be scared of and not Sanam. Yep and she was easily lip-syncing well to the song. And she deserved both greens totally!
Karan's performance - I liked his confidence and Akshay did too. Ooh man his classical moves were mind-blowing! His moves also flowed really well as he moved from classical to hip hop. He had a bit less dare, but even getting on that stage was quite daring. And he got 2 greens as well. Good going! Then Akshay tried doing the chakra which was a hilarious move.
Prince's performance - He's the prince of locking and popping and he proved it through his performance. An apt song choice as well of Boss. He did the same dare as Karan partly. I guess that's the disadvantage of going after someone who has already done the same thing because it looks like a repeat. As Akshay said he has awesome control over his body. I didn't get why he got a red from Sanjay and I guess Akshay didn't either that he got called Sanjay there for an explanation. I don't see the weak or repetitive angle, but okay if Sanjay says that then fine. It was clear from Akshay, Prince, and the contestants' faces that they didn't get it either. But I like that Prince took it in good spirit.
Alisha's performance - She's scared and Akshay decides to accompany her with a camera to boost her confidence. At least here she didn't ask for him to come with her. Her performance was strong and she used the drums well. Just when you thought there would be no dare in her act, she surprises you. And she was doing so good that even Akshay danced a bit. And after the surprise he gave Scarlett, I was glad that Alisha was a bit careful. And she got 2 greens. Well deserved!
Ritvik's performance - Akshay: Koi bata sakta hai agla performer kaun hai? Ritvik: I think sir main hoon. Me: Yep I think so too. 😆 He's the last one to go up and everyone is coming to say good luck to him. I like the monkey jump hug Mayuresh gave him. 😆 Super energy man! Super energy! I've seen him dance maybe 3 or 4 times in award shows and each time there is this unbelievable energy in him that I saw here too. Too good! And when he broke those bottles...damn! It was like a full-on reality show performance. He was stressed as Akshay pointed out and sadly it affected his cards where he became the first person to get 2 red cards. I don't feel he deserved that no matter how his performance was because he had dance and dare.
Explaining the card system - Finally Akshay explains a bit about how the card system works. There are no eliminations, but he can choose when he wants to count them and the person with the most red cards he can tell them to leave. Thank you.
Extreme Dance Hero - Rightfully so Emily is the Extreme Dance Hero. I felt either she or Sanam deserved it and I'm happy she got it.
Tent of shame - I don't see why they call it the Tent of Shame. It's sad yes, but you don't need to make a contestant feel worse.
Teasing continues - This is too fun! I love Akshay for this because it looks so non-scripted! Please continue with this.
Hosting - A special mention to Akshay's hosting. He's your friend, philosopher, and guide. He's not just a friend, but a guide.
Dare 2 Dance Theme Song - Yes! Just what you wanted to see. A cool theme song that showcases everyone as a team, but also shows their comfort zones and their individualities. And Akshay there for the rapping (which he did himself) was a cool addition! I'll separate this and keep it because it is absolutely cool.
