The Sify site of Indian Idol has a topic heading as follows:

"Ugly Duckling" Smita gets a makeover

Don't you think such a statement is derogatory and it should be criticized strongly???

The contestent donot have any access to media once the gala round starts.....thats why they shift them to flat ( during piano rounds they stay in hotel)........so she may not know about it 😒

The way they have been crying themselves hoarse over the makeover is plain stupid.
First of all, in all the attention on her makeover, she has lost concentration in singing.
Secondly, I don't see that much of a difference in her after the makeover. The skin is better and she's not wearing glasses, but on the downside they are putting tons of make-up on her and she looks artificial.
Thirdly, they are acting like all the other contestants are beauty contest winners and she was the only one ugly as sin. What is the big deal for heaven's sake? Except a couple of them who are conventionally good-looking, I don't think everyone is so beautiful! They don't have to be, its not a modelling competition.
I just don't want to hear another word about 'make-over'. 😡
