I am quite liking the new plot.
Shows that Durga has under estimated Goenkas esp Sakshi and knows that unless she enters the household as an insider, she can only harm them physically but not emotionally and destroy them so that they don't stand up.

I disagree that this is a standard saas-bahu serial. This is different in treatment - more modern, more direct and shorn of rhetoric.

Also, love how the plot is now converging.

Simone Singh is such a fantastic actor. And Dr. Dayal and Raima and Ayub Khan too. Shaurya is fabulous too. That is because they have such interesting intricate characters while the main actor and actress have standard characters and they pale in comparison.

I agree. I don't believe that the revenge and justice theme will be forgotten after the marriage. This will continue within the context if the marriage. There may be some Saas - babu dynamics but this may just be a small part of the process of revenge and justice, and it will not turn into your usual run- of-the-mill Hindi serial centered solely on family (dys)function!

Of course marriages and saas bahu seems blockbuster to a section of public. It is always comfortable to keep chewing the same gum.
Marriages are the only ways to tackle issues in any show. And then dismiss saying revenge can happen alongside marriage also.🥱

Oh yes. Why not? She could just come and shoot them all at once. Revenge ho gaya khatam. One episode ka serial bana do.
Else, it would just drag without sense. Already it has started to and needed to get here.

Now, let us see how the CVs treat it post this.

And, from the promo itself, it was clear that Durga is entering the lives of Goenkas for some maqsad.

Shooting!😆

Funny and limited if you think this is the only way to take revenge.

There is something called collecting evidence and exposing people. And yes, you do not need to marry someone to collect proof against him or her. Otherwise everybody who wanted justice in this world would end up marrying others!

Promos never hinted at marriage or entering their house earlier.

It is evident why and for what kind of audience such tracks are being introduced.

Of course it has takers.😉

This kind dictates content on TV now.

Many are coming and more will come.😆

Then we will have symbolism threads on usual topics that IF top ranked forums are notorious for.

I can see where this show and forum are headed. Predictable!🥱

there is nothing wrong with revenge and justice being pursued alongside marriage.
Marriage is an important feature of life which many women- even the hard core feminists subscribe to. So why should Durga not marry?- especially when her reasons are to destroy her adversaries?

In today's world, women do not give up on their pursuits just because they get married.
And why would Durga give up on revenge and justice seeking just because she gets married?

I believe that one needs a degree of tolerance to alternate views and positions to appreciate the choices Durga has made.

Taking on powerful people like the Goenkas who have no conscience nor moral code becomes possible if one is willing to go down to their level and destroy them from within. Fighting from the outside works but only to an extent.

By the way I note that it has become fashionable in the forum to condemn EHT as a 'typical saas-bahu' serial.
I just don't get this.

Sakshi and Durga have clashed with each other from day one. So what's going to be different after marriage? Their relationship changes but the focal point of the conflict will continue to be to weaken each other/demolish each other. So how does this become a 'typical saas- bahu serial' overnight? They will be saas-bahu, but how does it become 'typical?'-unless they move the focus to fight over too much/ too little sugar in their coffee?

I think the creators really want to add in a romance track, like desperately want too. I just wish they didn't spend so much time on this weeding preps. Like why can't Durga start singling out the friends one-by-one? And go find that recording. I'm sure that has to be a way to get a copy.

The only positive I see--if Durga finally tells Dev and they end up teaming up. I loved to see them bring Payal back and have her take revenge against her rapists. Granted it'll take her awhile to get better, but that would be so empowering.

No one is stopping Durga from getting married,...we only hate that she is getting married to Shaurya or to be more precise wants to be Goenka DIL. She already has so many evidences against Goenka's...what about them??? I don't see any logic in her becoming Goenka bahu, except that in the end she gets hold of the Goenka empire...is that she ultimately wants???
