Nobody questions MUZ abilities to manage pilgrimage, but she did not rule directly or proxy like Jhansi Rani, Noor Jahan or Razia Sultan did. She is remembered today only as she was Akbar's wife and beloved and not as an individual achiever.

Well said dear...Jallu was in the driver seat...and Jo was his beloved...

Ela if u can, do read the article - this mission of re-writing history - what caught my eye was the little bit about caste and how RSS plans to present it - I do believe Dr, Devdutt Patnaik was very correct in his assessment of what ails Indians and their view of themselves.

agree to some extent !! but but but ... sabkooo J kiii Rani bann ne kaa kyaa jaruurat haii ...???? 😲 there were many figures in history who may not be in that driving seat in their life but still they were able to influence others with their great personalities. 😃

point is not tht whether MUZ was efficient or not. the point is evrytime jalal is dumben down to show the woman power. MUZ definitely had a positive influence on akbar & akbar really valued her advises. but the JA always shows as if jalal was nothing without MUZ. even he is alive only bcoz of her. i dont know about RSS but all i know things should be equal. evrytime jalal is shown at the back seat. mirchi war could have been shown even without showing jalal captive. but no, showing jalal weak & confused is always necessary to prove jodha's intelligence or her power. its jodha akbar. but akbar is never shown equally. the whole prob is tht woman power is always shown at the cost of a dumb & weak jalal. equality is always missing. feminism or woman power doesnt mean a furniture male. & we r talking about 16th century & the most powerful man of tht era & noone had tht power to over shadow him. only MP was equal to him. but honestly @mandy, these discussions r of no use. noone is bothered about it. people will cry about jalal's characterization when jalal doesnt thinks about jodha, but noone cares when jalal is shown as an weak emperor. audience loves it, bcoz afterall its akbar & not a MP or shivaji.
