Why do Pak dramas show a lot of cousin romance?

Generally its not looking very good to have romance between cousins on screen but in most Pak dramas they show cousins getting married and latter develops affection for each other. New upcoming drama Sadkay Tumharay is also about a girl getting married with her cousin.

It's culture!

Cousin marriages are allowed in Islam

Pak dramas show reality, as in what is common in the culture. And there is nothing wrong with cousin marriages.

So every other Pakistani couple is brother and sister? This can't be reality. I am not against cousin marriages. They can show it but showing it most often is not looking good because though its allowed it still looks odd to some extent because cousins are also brother and sister.

They are not brother and sister, they are non-mahram to each other and the Quran allows them to marry.

Chalo jee.. ab tou kunwara hi marna paray ga kiunkai cousins tou bhai behen hotay hain 😲 aur hamaray haan tou sab insaan hi aapas main cousins hain kiunkai sab hi Hazrat Adam (a.s.) aur Bibi Hawa (a.s.) ki auladain hain. 😆

I dont think they show that many cousin marriages to be honest :S

Actually here we consider our cousins as bro n sis.. N yess in hindu some community dey allow marrg between bro n sis children ..bt 1st cousins like blood relations so n we celebrates rakhi so some times looks quite odd to us..Bt yhh its true dt islam allowd n its tradition in islam so okk.. My muslim friend got engage wid her khalas son. N she n her familly happy .. Its just culture diff so diff feelings nothing wrong.. 😊
