Karam Rajpal, who was roped in for the role of Leela's (played by Apara Mehta) fourth son, was asked by the show's production team, Neela Telefilms, not to take up any offers for three months. And, after three months, the actor was told that the production team was on the lookout for his replacement, leaving Karam with no option but to quit the show.
Shocked by the attitude of the production house, Karam tells us that in the bargain, he even missed the opportunity to work in a Bollywood flick. "About three months ago, I was selected to play the fourth son of Leela. I had not shot much for the show during that period and now after three months, the production house tells me that they are looking for a replacement for my character.
On the one hand, they told me about the replacement, and on the other, they're convincing me not to quit the show. Frankly, they want a popular face now. Since, the team is not too sure of finding a suitable replacement, they don't want to lose me either. No wonder, even a couple of days back, they said, 'Aap abhi mat jao. Aap hamare saath kaam karo.' Honestly speaking, I have no faith in their promises. And I wouldn't like to take any such risk in my professional life."
