When vamps become victims
Vamps play an important role in twisting serial tracks and increasing TRPs. On-screen they are insulted by the show's lead characters. Off screen, the public sometimes take their characters too seriously resulting in some strange incidents. We ask some of TV's wicked women for their experiences.
Achint Kaur (Mandira, Kyunki)
I've experienced a lot of people approaching me! Earlier I used to play good roles but when I was Mandira it was a real pain! Whenever I went, in and even out of Mumbai, I would hear 'woh dekho Mandira jaa rahi'. Someone once came up to me and said that I should 'do some good, positive roles'. I remember one incident when I had bought a pair of jeans. The owner wrote 'Mandira' without even asking me my name! I think the name 'Mandira' has become a trademark and that's why I'm now doing a different role in Virrudh.
