So here's part 3 of the story. Its mostly a filler but has important parts as well.
I am still clueless as to how many parts will be there as whenever I start writing it goes beyond whatever word limit I had in mind.. 😃
Its a Sunday and I was free so the update is early..

Part - 3
Abhi went and sat in the studio they had in their house. It was the only place in the entire house where he could find some peace of mind. He thought back to everything that had happened today and as he got thinking, finally all of the things that had happened ever since his marriage was fixed with Pragya had started to make sense. All of the lies, all the deceit, all the torture everything was right in front of his eyes as if he was watching a movie.. A very tragic movie..
One thing he realized was.. He had been so wrong. He always thought that he was a smart man and a good judge of character but Lord, was he wrong. Every single thing he had been sure of until now was wrong. Purab hadn't cheated him, he had fallen in love, should he have told him, yes, but was he wrong, no. He fell in love with a girl who is beautiful inside out, who loved him for who he was, not for his money, the way Bulbul had told him about their love story he was so sure that they were in love.. The all consuming love that he had wrote and sung about.. Not that he ever felt it.. The relationship between him and Tannu was nothing like that but he could see it shining through Bulbul's eyes. Aliya and Tannu were not what he thought they were.. He knew they were spoilt brats but not that they were so evil and bitter. The Aroras' weren't money hungry monsters, they were simple people who believed in family, values and above all, love. And Pragya, he couldn't even begin to think how wrong he was about her. He didn't want to because all he could see was how he had treated an innocent soul. Everything since his wedding till last night started coming back to him and a feeling of extreme guilt and pain settled in his heart and he knew there was no way it was going to go away until he mend all what he had broken inside of her heart and he was going to start right now.
He walked into her room and saw her standing near the bed fiddling with her fingers. She noticed him and looked up wide eyed and then she said, "I know you do not want to see me or hear my voice but this is very urgent, will you please just listen to me once." Every word hurt but he knew this was because of how he had behaved with her. He closed his eyes and saw her frightened face when he was threatening, manhandling her in this very room. How was he going to make things better after everything that he had done. He opened his eyes and saw her gulp in fear and take a step back. He took a step ahead and she huddled into the wall so he wouldn't hurt her and looked at him wide eyed, What had he done to her? "You can say what you want to." Trying to keep the pain out of his voice, yet failing miserably. She didn't notice that. She was way too scared to notice anything, she was just glad he was willing to listen to her. She started in a small voice, "Its Bulbul and Suresh's wedding in two weeks and Maa wanted you to come." She looked to see if he was still listening and then continued, "I have already told her that you won't come to any of the other functions because you are busy but she kept insisting that you must come to the wedding." She gulped and looked up again to see if he had started to get angry, relieved that he wasn't she added, "You can come for a few minutes and just meet Maa and then you can leave. You don't have to stay. Please just come. You wouldn't even have to pretend that we are a happy couple. I'll stay away from you for the entire time. Please, just once." Abhi looked and her and nodded unable to say anything because of the huge lump in his throat. She looked at him with so much gratefulness in her eyes as if he'd laid the entire world at her feet. That made him feel so small like a flea who lives on dirt. And then a very weird thought came to his mind, if it had been Tannu she would haven't been happy even if he managed to lay the world on her feet. She'd still not be satisfied. Why hadn't he seen it before.. Why was he so blind? So unaware of the purity of her soul?
He saw her come out of the changing room and move to the balcony. "Its cold outside, sleep on the bed tonight." Abhi said hopefully. She looked at him as if he'd grown two heads but agreed. She didn't want to start a fight lest he refused to come to Bulbul's wedding. She lied on the bed on the extreme corner. She didn't want to be near him. She saw him raise and she flinched instinctively. She saw his face crumple in pain and then saw him put pillow between them like they used to and breathed out in relief. She faced the other side and closed her eyes and fell asleep. Abhi kept looking at her back longingly. He had said that he doesn't want to see her face but now all he wanted was to see her beautiful face, her beautiful smile that lit up her eyes and the whole world seemed ok, as if all is well in the world. He couldn't sleep hoping that he can somehow fix things between them. Then after a few hours the days events caught up to him and he finally fell asleep.
Next morning he woke up and saw her gone. He looked around and saw his cinnamon coffee lying on the side table. Just another reminder of how she was doing things for him not expecting anything in return, not even civil behaviour. He woke up determined. He was done feeling sorry for all he did. It was time to fix things and he knew where to start.
Aliya was sitting in her room checking out what was new on her newsfeed on facebook when she saw Abhi enter her room. She got up immediately and hugged him wishing him a good morning. Abhi returned the greeting and sat on the bed asking her to join him. She sat next to him and he put am arm around her. "Have I been a good brother to you Aliya?" He asked her. Aliya looked at him and asked "Why are you asking me this bhai?" "Answer me, baby." "Of course bhai, you are the best bhai in the world, you are the brother any girl would want. You raised me, ever since our parents left, you are all I have and you have been everything, if not more." He placed a kiss on top of her head and asked "Then where did I go wrong baby." Aliya didn't get that, "Wrong? How can you be wrong bhai?" "I raised you because mom and dad left you to me. You were all I had. Not that I would have it another way. I love you my baby. But I let them down, didn't I?" Abhi said looking down. "No bhai, how can you even.." "Then why didn't I raise you to be a good person Aliya? When did my little princess become so cold Aliya? So evil and vengeful? Did I raise you like that? I must have because there is no way that the little bundle of sunshine that mom placed in my arms was like this. She was a happy, loving and beautiful baby girl." Abhi put the original letter in her hand, she looked up shocked, "I also know about the phone call. I am not sure what to do now but one thing I know is that you and Tannu have done enough damage and this has to stop now, you hear me?" His voice had gone very hard and so had his hold on her. Aliya knew there was no point arguing with her brother now so she just nodded. She would have to deal with him later. As Abhi was moving out of the room she heard him say, "Also tell Tannu that her and I are over." She looked up shocked and he continued, "So are you and Purab." Saying that Abhi left the room leaving a very angry Aliya behind. Something needed to be done. She took her phone and called Tannu.
He went back to the room and waited for Pragya to come but she was nowhere to be seen. Finally he went to Daadi's room to check if she was with her. Daadi looked at him shocked and asked, "You don't know? She is going to stay at her place until Bulbul's wedding. She said that she didn't want to stress her mother out in this condition so she will stay there to make sure the wedding goes smoothly and she can take care of her mother." His face fell. Why didn't she tell him? He could've dropped her. "Yeah like last time, right?" A small voice inside his head told him. "Of course I know Daadi, she just didn't tell me she is already leaving. I wanted to drop her." "Oh you know her, she hates being a bother. Pata nahi gaadi le gayi Ki nahi. Meri bholi bachhi . " Abhi looked at his grandmother, she was always right, wasn't she? He was the fool. He sighed and left the room. Daadi thought he was just missing her so didn't pay much heed to it.
He came back to his room and sat on his bed. He was missing her. He knew this marriage was far more,than a sham to him anymore and he knew why. Ever since he got to know of her innocence all he wanted was to mend his ways. He knew he doesn't deserve her but thinking of letting her go away from him made him want to scream. No, he will get better, he will treat her like she deserves and then maybe, just maybe even she would want to be with him. She was his wife now, in every sense of the word and he was going to make sure she knew that she matters to him, more than anybody ever has.
Loved it so much. Finally Abhi admit to himself that Pragya is his wife and realise what a wonderful person she is , but sadly this realisation came late, but better late then never. Abhi's talk to Aaliyah will make her and Tannu to call Sarla maa and let her know the real reality off Pragya's married life, which will led to her untimely death. Wonder how will Abhi make up to Pragya for all the pain he cause. Hope that Aaliyah won't cause more trouble. Please do update soon
