Rajpal Yadav and SRK in Don

David Dhawan's latest comic caper Partner starring Salman Khan and Govinda takes pot-shots at Farhan Akhtar's Don. The plot has funny man Rajpal Yadav (he calls himself Chota Don) aspiring to look like Shah Rukh Khan as he dresses in dapper black coats and glares.

The grapevine suggests that it's Salman Khan who suggested director Dhawan to spoof on SRK's portrayal.

Says a reliable source, "The initial script had a funny and faint-hearted gangster. Later Salman and David decided to do a spoof on the recent Don. I believe Salman has already told Shah Rukh about it."

Apparently, Rajpal had to undergo a voice modulation programme in order to mimic Shah Rukh's baritone. Instead of pretty girls, Rajpal will be seen mingling with his quirky good-for-nothing henchmen.

When quizzed about it Rajpal said, "There's a comic track in the film. I play a funny Don. I'm dressed like Shah Rukh, but I have not imitated him."
