As the lovely voice of Jagjit singh ji filled the room, it didn't felt gloomy anymore, instead the old memories filled the vacuum that seemed to have been created every where she went. A bubble that surrounded her, making her lonely, filled with nothing but guilt, guilt of never even trying! Only if she had enough courage to take some step, life would have been different, even if things wouldn't have been like she wanted, atleast the guilt wouldn't have been there. But alas! She was one of most coward person's ever when it came to her feelings.
And now she wonders, where would he be? What would he be doing?
The people around her, happily chirping, her sisters running here and there with serious expressions, and ladies at distant discussing jewelery. She knew that she was one of the most point of discussion that day, but she seemed lost. Only if she could get up and take a deep breath and tell everyone that, 'She does not want this.' She sighed sitting in the velvety red chair beside a man that soon would be her life partner. What disturbed her at this point was, what if she would n't be able to love this man? What if she'd fail in this relationship only because of her one sided affair with the person who didn't even remembered she existed.
She wanted to cry, she wanted to run to him and tell him that she didn't want this to happen, she can't bind herself in a relationship where she would never love him. But now was too late, she knew that now nothing could happen. She was going to be bound to him tonight in a marriage ceremony infont of the holy fire and there family.
But she didn't know anything about this guy, Only if she would have been seriously involved in the few meetings with him pre-marriage, but she didn't give it a thought then, after all what was the use, she was already in love and she knew she would never be able to love again.
Her eyes were down casted and her lips trembled in pain of acknowledging the truth that now she would not even have right to think about her one and only love. Her throat was paining terribly due to constant trying to subdue a sob. She lifted her gaze up, like Mihika was just waiting for her to sign, she came running and asked her if she was alright. "Yes I am fine, I just wanted some water." Ishita said trying to maintain slight tremble in her voice.
Mihika handed her a glass o water and smiled as she adjusted Ishita's chunni over her head, and went back.

It was midnight when the mahurat seemed to fall and thus, Bride and groom were called for the rituals which would bind them forever in a relationship where they would become one from soul.
Rituals started, Chants of Mantras filled the air making the atmosphere serious but happy one, one by one the mantras seemed to bind them in an invisible bond.
Everything was peaceful but her heart was in turmoil, she was not into this marriage from heart, her heart was crying to get rid of everything and run away from all that was happening.
But she would never break hearts, especially of her parents. This is what she had always done, she had fought for her sisters but never once could do the same for her self, nor anybody did. But today, it was life turning event happening with her and still all she could do was to sit and listen to the chants and feel awkward being the center of attention of everybody.
The chants halted and pandit ji asked the groom to fill the maang of the bride, and next she felt him lifting his hand towards her and carefully filling her hair partition, her gaze for once lifted up unconsciously and her breath hitch and her eyes widened as if she was in shock, but his eyes remained solemn, and she immediately looked down as if not believing. And then pandit ji asked the groom to tie the mangalsutra around bride's neck. He took the thin chain of black beads and tied around her neck, as his fingers brushed the skin of her neck, she felt a shiver run down her spine.
It was then all rituals ended and they were bound for forever as husband and wife, every body clapped and blessed them for happy married life.
In her pit of stomach she felt empty, now she was wife of some one, some one else. It was not what she had dreamed of, ever.
But then, she looked at her groom, how could this be possible, Its him, the infamous and dashing of whom she had several times given examples to her friends when they had asked about her crush, in order to conceal truth she had blatantly lied and took the name that was so common among her all friends for everyone was in love with him, The CEO of Healthy Diet Drinks, Raman Kumar Bhalla, mostly known as RKB of the town on whose arrival of mere two years the face of Soft drinks had changed and he had already was lined up for interviews that he had yet to give and five interviews within these two years that had bagged more TRPs to the news channels than any famous Drama. The enigmatic RKB was now her husband, has heaven had fallen already!
She was too shocked as she saw him gracefully move towards her Appa and take his blessing and when her Appa joined hands infront of him, he embraced him, her heart fluttered at such a warm gesture from him.
Soon Vidaai ceremony took place where the bride has to officially leave her father's place, It was almost morning and she cried, this was the time she was dreading, she never wanted to leave her Amma and Appa, she hid herself in her mother's embrace letting out all the fears and pain of going away.
After a while she felt a warm hand on her shoulder, and it felt like a reassurance, like it was silently promising, 'I am there", and she felt relived to see at-least he cared, for she had till now only seen grooms to stand at side smiling and watching the vidaai but never once she saw anybody caring enough to understand and comfort his life partner. A smile crept onto her lips acknowledging his gesture.
And with that Ishita left behind her past and began her first journey towards her future...
