Dev went to the basti where Nitya lived.
He found people talking about a lawyer who had grown rich overnight. He had fought the Payal rape case. And lost. They wondered how could someone get rich after losing a case.
Dev heard it and wondered if his family had bribed that lawyer and made him lose the case.
I was like "Eureka!", when Dev expressed that doubt of Goenkas ruining the Mitras! 👏😆
Karan was also there. Lawyer introduced him as his friend. Karan was uncomfortable and didn't want to be seen with him. Lawyer asked him to relax as it had been 2 years and everyone had forgotten past.🤢
Dev's doubt grew seeing Karan.
He tried to chase them but missed their cars.🥱
Then lawyer reached his home where he was celebrating his rise. He had pic of Payal and Nitya in his hall as they had brought "lakshmi" in his life.
Past flashback started.
He was a poor, out of work lawyer. Nitya had come to him as nobody was willing to fight her case. She had begged him to help her and pay his fees in any way in installments.
He laughed saying how could anyone take on rich and powerful Goenkas.
But checked his kundali and figured out dhan laabh.🤢
He smiled and took on the case.
He played a double game.
Nitya found a mobile phone recorded video of Shaurya raping Payal.
She shared it with lawyer.
Lawyer took it to Goenkas and threatened to produce it in court.
Shaurya barked he would kill him. Rajnath stopped him and asked lawyer what he wanted.
Lawyer quoted his price - 15 crore. 😡
It was a telling comment on how society had been ruined by the rich.🤢 As well as greedy, poor people like this lawyer who wanted to get rich readily!😡

Lawyer agreed and next day told false story to Nitya about being attacked by Goenka goons. And proof being stolen.
They lost the case.
The proof is still there as lawyer had made copies of that video.
But Nitya and other Mitras are not aware of that proof still being there or lawyer selling himself to Goenkas.
That means Dev might dig up an enemy who even Nitya is unaware of!
I hope Dev does something substantial if he follows up the lawyer's trail and does not leave it there.
Lawyer is ultra rich now and wears loads of gold chains and rings.
Precap showed Shaurya being taken out by Karan. Karan was scared. But Shaurya winked at doctor who winked back!😲
