Bad choices in films.

I think its a proven fact that Abhishek CAN act. Everyone knows he can. But he lost his spark after Guru. He had to gain a lot of weight for that role and it took forever for it to come off - he was in good shape at one point.

Too many bad films, a deterioration in looks and it seemed like he got lazy too.

I still feel he had a decent career! Although I strongly feel he should now retire and let Ash work full time!

I have said it before and I will say again .. He has an impeccable comic timing.. He should only do comedy... He was good in guru but he doesn't have the star value to pull a serious movie like that anymore..

I think he took too long to find his niche. Once he found, he should have kept at it. The movies that became successful on his merit alone, were light hearted rom coms. I think he kept trying to go versatile, did intense films, action films, masala films etc. He is not good at that. He should have stuck to the light hearted genres where he found success like BluffMaster, bunty babli. He should have done more movies with Priyanka and Rani

He is inconsistent with bad script sense and some times he has done films for friends that he probably shouldn't.

His biggest asset is his comic timing. He is brilliant with sarcasm, witty responses, and OTT comedy and should do more such genre and straight up do rom-coms. He's not a bad actor but sometimes he looks bored.

As for those saying his marriage and wife ruined his career...bunch of lame supersitutions. Let's not blame the woman for everything, especially not his career going down b/c there's really no correlation. And I find it so disresecpectful to her--like she's some unlucky force that jsut entered into his life.

But other than a few flops here and there--he seems geniunely content and happy with his life, family and career...so I say he's fine.
