And I'm back for all those people who love my reviews thank you! This is kind of my first time doing this type of thing. 😉
Praising the contestants - I like how Akshay started the episode with a joke, but then became serious praising the contestants.
Gold card - Now that's a new thing. I was wondering if any contestant gets a boost if they do really good and suddenly this comes up. We don't know yet what this card is about, but I'm sure it's like one of those power cards that will give someone a boost above the others.
Sanam's performance - Why did they spend so much time on his rehearsals this time? Yesterday they spent only 10 - 15 seconds on each, but here they spent about a minute on him. Not that I mind. it gave us a good look into what he was experiencing when he was practicing. Ah Mast Magan. Such a sweet song. I felt that Sanam could have done so much better. There were some places where he lost the beat to the song, but he would pick up quickly and get back again. I must say though that he did really well overall. Akshay also said the same that his dance was something that isn't seen underwater usually. And he got green from both judges.
Scarlett's performance - She chose the song Teri Meri. I like that she went in even though she has a fear after she almost drowned once. She is really taking herself to the next level. But once again I feel she's using the emotional touch to get points for herself. She had a lovely performance. It was slow just like the song and there was sync between both. She got a green from both as well. Then getting Prince to do Teri Meri in popping and locking was too much fun.
Sayantani's performance - Someone explain to me why is Sayantani scared of water if she's claustrophobic? Claustrophobia is fear of closed spaces not fear of water! Now she's using the emotional touch to get points for herself as well by getting Akshay to come with her. The dance was weird to me. I don't exactly know what she was doing there. I liked that the cameras also showed Akshay shooting the performance. It tells you that he wasn't just saying it but he's also doing it. She got a red and a green once again. This time her dance was less and her stunts/tricks were more. And today she revealed that she isn't happy with her choreographer. But like they say there are 2 sides to every story. Today just because she didn't do well in dance she blames her choreographer, but Akshay is quick to point out that maybe she isn't doing it properly. And then I like how the contestants gave their input. It's not targeting one person, but giving two sides of a story.
Karan's performance - There is a surprise under this. Akshay jokes not to surprise them by not showing up naked. Then he jokes again that Romeo and Juliet will sing Punjabi songs and Heer and Ranjhna will sing English songs. But I do agree with Akshay in this second joke. If Karan's concept was Romeo Juliet then he should have chosen an English song, but nonetheless I liked his performance. He had nice moves and the two were in sync rather nicely. Akshay's comment about the kiss was hilarious. Karan got 2 greens nicely!
Amar's performance - Why the mention of 2 red cards again? It's like the last performer has to get 2 red cards or something! Or is it one performer each week? That's not right at all if that's how it is! Behne De. I like the choice of the song. Matches the dance floor. I liked the performance by Amar. The wheel was well used. Akshay liked the performance and he points out that it's already morning now as well. Amar gets one green and one red for a mistake. Really? For one mistake he gets a red? Did no one notice the fact of how well he came back from that back flip. I think everyone makes mistakes in their dance. So why does he get penalized?
Extreme Dance Hero - It was Prince. Because of this I went back and watched his performance again and I would like to take back my comments from yesterday. I realized the video I watched yesterday was shoddy and that's why Prince's performance looked shoddy to me. Prince did extremely well and that's why I apologize for my comments from yesterday.
Dancing on a moving truck - That'll be a cool stunt for next week! Looking forward to it!
