The yesteryear actress known for her expressing her bold views criticised the Makdee star

National Award-winning actress, Shweta Basu Prasad, has been splashed all over the news for having been arrested for prostitution. Shweta Basu Prasad is caught in a tangled web but no one from the south film industry has stepped forward to help her but many are ready to give free advice! Actress Khushboo says that Shweta has stooped' to the level of selling herself while others say that since she is talented she will find work'. It's surprising to see a strong woman like Khushboo make such a statement without understanding Shweta's plight. And it's more surprising that not one south director or producer has offered Shweta any film post this tragedy.

On the other hand, there is also a fear in the south film industry about what Shwetacould reveal to the cops. In case she gives up names of men from the film industry who solicited such women and the names of other actresses (if any) who are involved in this racket, it could do much more damage. Keeping this in mind, many people from the south film industry don't want to comment on this issue.

Another actress, Sri Divya, who was wrongly linked to prostitution, is allegedly set to sue those who dragged her name into this mess. Meanwhile, everyone in the south film industry is in a wait-and-watch mode. Some people in Bollywood have extended their sympathy to Shweta but even that in the south seems to be a scarce commodity right now.
