Some random thoughts:
1. Vani as Rani was completely surreal, especially when she spoke English and held her smartphone, I felt like we got a glimpse of Radhika in between takes when dressed as Rani;
2. Hindi being spoken by all and sundry in Kolkata, I believe the team took some creative license with this, I for one found it very weird that Bengali was not being spoken, especially considering they were providing subtitles;
3. Poo-Karthik, I found it odd how both were limping and stumbling along down the stairs, wasn't there a lift working in the hotel or was that just to conveniently slot in Poo's new found care for Karthik;
4. Swamy is once again being the crybaby, seriously, is this his character arch or is this another gimmick to showcase Vani as the calm, collected, action oriented heroine of the show;
5. Rajesh, I suppose he is the designated family member finder of VR, he was the one who discovered Swami at Mahalingam's hotel and now he is the one to stumble upon the whereabouts of Rani through his friend;
6. Thenu track is being dragged out and over dramatized, and this is affecting the continuity in the Poo-Karthik and Pooja-Gautham track, more balance with the tracks would be great to move the storyline forward.
On a side note, I don't read or write Tamil so what Thenu wrote on her notebook was pure guesswork for me, would appreciate if someone could put down the actual translation for the benefit of others like me. Meanwhile, if anyone is wondering how I got the Kolkata bits translated, fortunately, I understand Hindi, so I didn't have to struggle with the subtitles.
Disclaimer: The order of the scenes in the update may not be strictly accurate, I watched the episode once and wrote the update from memory and though I covered all the key bits, the precise order eluded me as there were multiple tiny bits in the episode.
