Sonam Kapoor has been very picky about her films and unapologetic about it. She says it's been a conscious decision to stay away from films where she just had to play a "glamourous girl" because "you just get lost in the crowd". She adds, "I have always been a rebel. When somebody was doing ABC, I did EFG. I did not become a typical heroine. I don't like things that are manufactured and I love to be original." The actress is now prepping to romance Salman Khan in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and says she did the film because she loves nostalgia and "doing Soorajji's film is really nostalgic for me". Does that make sense? "I have grown up watching his films be it Maine Pyar Kiya or Hum Aapke Hain Koun and like all other girls my age, I wanted to be romanced by Prem. Now that it is happening, it feels surreal. So more than the commercial value of the film, it was the nostalgia which made me jump on board."
