As I'm feeling a little bit better now, my OT brain has started working again (though most of the times it is right on target 😆).
I see every second post about the Oh-so-beautiful MaNan scene tonight. So I'm deviating from that. I'm trying to look at the storyline that (possibly) awaits us along with the character development.
So, I wont waste time with talking about everyone- just three people.
Maanik-Nandini- I want to see the repercussions in him after spending so much time with Nandini alone. No worries for Dhruv, no taunting Harshad, no insecure Aalya- nothing at all. I want to see how he'll perceive Nandini from now on. For the sake of Dhruv's health, he said that he didn't have a problem with his friendship with Nandini, but we all have seen him jealous over the bonding, we all have seen him pondering over Harshad's words regarding his obsession with Nandini. In the precap, it seemed that he nearly smiled when Nandini informed him that Dhruv didn't have a clue of her coming in this store room. What exactly does he wants? Nandini to stay away from Dhruv or vice-versa?
I want the same change in Nandini too, the fact that she doesn't fully trust him was evident by the way she got scared when Maanik was removing his jacket. She's another character who's glass-clear with no shadows! She's not afraid of speaking her mind but doesn't like sharing her woes with others either- may be even she knows that she doesn't have a true friend.
Maanik have already given proof of the fact that he trusts Nandini more than anyone in the Fab 5- by handing her Dhruv's file. It will obviously be difficult for Nandu to trust him that way- he has once tricked her to be his spot and then threw her out of college when he felt threatened- but she might be able to stop thinking badly of him after this. May be we'll see her pondering over the goon incident and wonder that if it was indeed him, the person who offered her his jacket? Also the mystery with the same key-chain in both Dhruv and his guitar bag.
Harshad- He never ceases to amaze/surprise me! THE most unpredictable character in KYY whose only known trait is his hatred for Fab 5! It's still more or less a mystery as to WHY he's so hell-bent on breaking that group? Is it because the ringleader of that group happens to be his sister's b.f and she's more attached to Maanik than him? I doubt that. If that was the case, he'd have been discreet with his intentions instead of making it obvious in front of Aalya as there's no way that she's gonna go 'My brother strongest' after he breaks the very group she's in. So what exactly is it??
Till now I have been thinking that Harshad is counting on Nandini's hatred for the Fab 5 so that he can effectively use her as his biggest pawn and he will turn against her if she falls in love with either Dhruv or Maanik- but he proved me wrong, AGAIN!
He very cleverly tested his own theory on the trio at first by attaching those crackers to Nandini's clothes- he got the reaction he wanted. Now instead of trying to distance her from these two, he's pushing her to them- or rather just Maanik!
The end product of his actions were superb to say the least (they usually are), but I'm more interested in the intention behind all these. He's shamelessly using Nandini as well as his own sister as pawns (the latter deserves this, though). He knows about Aalya's insecurity regarding Nandini, he knows Maanik's obsession regarding the same girl and he's using all these to his own advantage and HOW!
He knows both Maanik and Nandini so he's sure that there's no way in hell that they'd end up being physical- and THAT'S what stops him from being completely BAD.
He's grey all right, but lets not forget that he saved Rishabh from drowning when he hardly knew about Nandini, dropped both the girls home safely after that party, saved Mukti from jumping to her death, brought back Nandini. Yes he wants Fab 5 to break but not at the cost of a girl's dignity or someone's life. These things make him look better than the group- better and WORSE.
I want to see how the CV's develop this particular character. He is a cherry on top who's also acting as the catalyst for MaNan.
