She wanted to be an actress, but at the same time she had to finish her school finals. Young Hansikaa Motwani was shooting for Himesh Reshammiya's debut film Aap Ka Surror in Germany, and she actually shocked everyone when she skipped the party which Himesh threw there. A source says, "It was one of those regular post-shooting bashes, and everyone would wait for the party, because that was the best way to relax after shooting the entire day. But when Himmesh asked Hansikaa to join the party, she politely turned down saying that she needed to study for the ensuing exams. Himmesh was very impressed with her dedication."
When contacted Hansikaa, said, "It was freezing cold. And my exams were fast-approaching." A student of Podar International School she is very sincere about her studies. "I had to study along with the shoot and it was important that I be disciplined. Besides, I hit my bed early and an early riser - no late nights for me. I want to be looking fresh for the shoot more than anything else. So I preferred to spend my free time studying."

The 15-year-old is a strict vegetarian, and has no stress eating the simple dal-chawal meals cooked by mom in her room. "I used to make poha too," says Hansika who believes that good health is the best way to the top. "It is easy to get swayed by success and get misguided to let a lifestyle rule you," she says maturely. "I would rather be an early sleeper and an early riser and focus on my work. After all, all I ever wanted to be was an actress."
Hansika was supposed to make her debut as a child artiste in Yahoo with Juhi Chawla and Govinda. In fact Juhu recommended her name to the director. Unfortunately, the film was shelved. Thanks again to Juhi, Hansika went on to do a Hyundai Santro ad with Shah Rukh Khan. Soon after this, Rakesh Roshan signed her for Koi... Mil Gaya.
Prior to this, Hansika acted in many Hindi soap operas like Ekta Kapoor's Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Sony's Boogie Woogie , Hum 2 Hain Na, Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand , Star Plus's Kabhi Masti Kabhi Dhoom with Sonali Bendre, Zee TV's Tum Bin and her best known role yet in a children show Shakalaka Boom Boom as Karuna on Star Plus, to name a few. She got her first big break after acting in Mehul Kumar's Jaago.
