His character "Vijay" in Agneepath, it was much after the other actors played the characters you have written. He was grounded and aspirational wasn't he. Rakesh Roshan is working on a script that is a love story. Mohenjodaro is also a love story where his role is of a simple man.
He can chose only from the scripts that come to him.
Last time his hair was black was in "Krrish 3". If in Bang Bang his hair color was black will it not be a "Hollywood Hangover" then?
There is a difference between desi songs and desi dance. For example "Jumme Ki Raat" may play in discos as well as such celebrations you point to but maybe "Tu Meri" will not. That is based on the song, dance has got nothing to do with it IMO.
Yes Mohenjodaro is a dicey deal but that is what makes it interesting for him as an actor. It is challenging for him to do and he wants to do that. BB will give him a bit of breathing space and if Mohenjodaro doesn't work he can again pick up another Masala film. JA did work though and it brought him a lot of acclaim. There were similar doubts that time as well.
He doesn't appear too much together with his dad. Last time they were together was during Ganpati Visarjan, before that was during Krrish 3 promotions and while he was having surgery.
Let people say what they want to say. If they are people who actually care, they can be given facts that it is not true that he only gives hits with his dad. If they are haters, then let them be. He has done four films with his dad till now in a considerably long career. All have been Blockbusters. Why shouldn't he do more? Just because people talk is not a good enough reason to not work with a director who also happens to be his dad.
He will overcome this issue with BB I feel, it is the perfect film at this point of time. I am just waiting for the day that articles about him stop starting with the sentences "It has been a difficult year for HR with his surgery and separation..."
As I said before I respect your views even though they are different to mine. The thing is I am a fan of him for what and how he is. I like the fact that he did Guzaarish. I can see why he chose that script, that it didn't work at the BO is a different issue. I also like the fact that he is trying to create a balance between movies for financial success and critical acclaim. He may not be successful always but atleast he is trying to give us something different everytime and not the similar thing just because it works at the BO.
