No, when a film falls 80% in week 2-3, it means the film did not really work for people. Star power cannot make such films trend well. It's not about star power after weekend/week 1 anyways. This isn't surprising anyways...the film was made in 3 months just so it could cash in on national holiday; the point wasn't to make a good, entertaining film but to make money. It was an overconfident film.

AjaY Devgan with Daisy Shah wouldn't even have made a 50 crore on Jai Ho..That is the star power of salman Khan...period.😛

Blue ice i feel you aren't getting the point

I do agree that content really determines the second week collections of these biggies. Compare jai ho with kick..same star but different results. Obviously kicked was liked more and had a positive wom which helped in steady 2nd week but same didn't happen with jai ho which had a negative wom and dropped heavily in week 2

Had SR had a decent content it might have even touched 180. Content does matter. A YJHD made 190 crores. Now of course that wasn't all due to ranbir's star power

I agree with Jess and blue-ice star power does matter in first week and second. Salman fans watch Kick more than once. Ajay fans are not that many.

And plus..SR was pretty much a copy of Singham. I still enjoyed though because I loved Singham.

And plus someone mentioned none of Ajay films touch the 100 cr mark. Let's not forget Ajay is no Srk or Salman or even Amir. SR over D3 anyday but D3 did well because it had Amir. Would Ajay get that kind of collection if he was the star of D3? Hell no!
