Madhuri D to play Mother Role in Ramlakhan Remake

Karan Johar is reportedly in talks with at least four actresses to play the role of the doted mother in this remake of 80s hit Ram Lakhan'.
According to Bollywood Life, Johar is said to have had dialogue with the likes of Madhuri Dixit, Amrita Singh, Kirron Kher and Tabu for the role originally played by Rakhee Gulzar. Incidentally, Dixit played one of the protagonists in the original film opposite Anil Kapoor.
While speculation is rife on the actress who will play the role of the mother, there's rumours of a different kind also. The lead actors to play Ram Lakhan' have surfaced again and the names being touted are Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor. However, it will be interesting to see which actress would want to play an older female role to one of these young stars.
Dharma Productions is officially yet to confirm the developments. The above is mere rumours.

please no, this whole remake sounds horrible. that sort of film was only suitable for the 90's.

I find it disgusting how Khans, Devgan and Akki are playing leads and their younger co-actresses are playing mother roles. 🤢

Like she will play mother to Varun or Arjun or Ranveer. No way will Madhuri do this role.

Amrita Singh WOULD be the best option...
