Episode 20 was the exploration and progression of the marital life of Zaroon and Kashaf.
The episode starts with both Zaroon and Kashaf strolling on the beach and being a little silly. It's a very well done scene as they r in their honeymoon phase and hence talking abt silly nonsense like listening to the sound of silence, talking abt shells being delicate like girls or easily breakable like girls, talking about liking pearls in d shell which gets interpreted as being materialistic, walking hand-in-hand till where water meets the sun. All insignificant, but not really coz it's these small gibberish that help in cementing a bond of lifetime.😊
Then the bedroom scene. A very domesticated, everyday mundane happening. Zaroon being a typical husband, irritating Kashaf by flinging his wet towel at her, Kashaf being the typical wife and reprimanding him and telling him not to expect her to pick after him, but doing exactly that. Zaroon wanting to spend time wid Kashaf, but Kashaf tidying up the room and later on the bathroom and thinking dat his bad habit of leaving things as dey r wld be one of the reasons for breaking up, if dey ever do. This could be the scene out of the life of any married couple anywhere! And den Kashaf's thoughts and u realize she isn't as blase as she wld hv Zaroon believe and how much her married life is already more than she ever wished for, but her insecurities are never far away and ends up thinking how it would be a big problem if this man exits from her life!
Then again the stroll in the garden where they talk about their expectations from marriage. Zaroon tells Kashaf abt how his family does not think the marriage wld last. I liked how instead of getting upset that Zaroon's family has such low expectations abt their marriage, Kashaf tried to understand from Zaroon why his family thought so and her smile and reply when Zaroon says that one of the reasons is tht he'll not be able to keep her happy for long.😆 And den Zaroon saying he likes being a typical husband who takes a lot of care and also has high expectations from his wife. So although we tend to blame Zaroon for being a chauvinist, but der are some really endearing qualities to it to like being cared for and taking responsibility as a husband, which I suppose every wife wld love to have for in a husband.
Then Kashaf's house scene. How Zaroon is so comfortable in her house and with her sister and mom and how he realizes and appreciates the little things that Rafia does that are responsible for inculcating the values in Kashaf that he finds so impressive. So many facets revealed in every scene shown. And of course Kashaf still having insecurities and complex when she makes a big deal of how Zaroon could stay back in their house without ac, with power cuts etc. nd sidra rightly told her to get over her complexes. 👏
Then the scene that really tells us how their marriage is heading. Everyone has said so much about it, and so have I, dat der's nothing much to add, but again I wld like to point out that yeah Zaroon makes a lot of noise abt being the dominant partner in the marriage and being a chauvinist, but it's all a sham. He's quite the obedient husband. Seems he quit smoking coz of Kashaf and when he blackmailed Kashaf to keep smoking outside if she did not join him and it seems dat one look from Kashaf had him quickly clarifying that it was some old packet of cigarettes that he found in d car.😆 Also there are a few more instances like when he comments abt girls being materialistic and Kashaf tells that if he continues talking like that she would leave and her challenges her, but quickly retracts knowing that she would do it.
What I really liked about the power cut scene is that though Kashaf does not reveal how she feels, by this time Zaroon is well aware that though she doesn't express, but she genuinely cares for him. Also throughout that scene both Fawad and Sanam were outstanding and I would like to say tht when an actor is supposed to act shy and embarrassed when the other is being romantic, then dey shld watch how Sanam did it! I mean it was brilliant and credit to the director for showing it in such a manner instead of d female throwing coy glances at the male to show shyness.
And finally her dairy entry where she lets us into exactly how she feels for Zaroon, how he has become a very special person to him, but how she can't and wont let Zaroon know that and continue to laugh and mock him and let him have the misconception that she's unemotional rather than show how her feelings for him has become her weakness.
And towards the end, the practical signs of each caring for the other. Kashaf stitching his button for him (which I guess was a case of a dream come true for Zaroon😉😆) and Zaroon giving her the money and both realizing the significance of the others gesture.
