Nisha : Different or Strange?? TM comment on Pg 3

Hi guys... Many of u know me but those who doesn't... i am Vish... A less active member of this orum due to time issues. Anyways this is not my intro post but about Nisha and her impression on me till now.. My views can change in future..

When I saw the promos I felt the show is really refreshing and the interviews and articles made me believe that we are going to get a different lead and the show... The first impression of Nisha (i.e. Of 1st episode) was the good one... i felt she is the fun loving and supportive girl wh loves her cousins so much that ready to go against the elders. I was thinking to make a post on Nisha saying "Nisha : I am not strange but different." But my opinion on her changed with time.. Now I feel she is strange and doesn't have any quality of a lead.. A young lead is supposed to be loving, supportive, honest(not a harishchandra but should know difference between right and wrong),responsible, well mannered, daring n rebellion to an extent but here Nisha is the only rebellion.. Before u jump to bash me.. let me give my reasons for this.

Not Supportive

1. We all have seen the Lehenga issue... She is not supportive.. M not saying her to wear lehenga in all ceremonies but she should have at least tried whole heartedly for her mom and dad who are so supportive to her.

2. The day when bunty was ill and her mom was late for her job... she was playing with her mobile instead of helping her a bit.. i know she doesn't do kitchen work.. Till the age of 24 I dint know abc of cooking, I cnt even make tea today but when my mom was ill, i had tried preparing Khichdi.. Though it was a disaster but I helped her. or whenever she had morning shift(my mom travels around 50 kms daily in interstate so she has to leave at 6 am max.) i used to help her in some jobs like taking out her clothes, helping dad in preparing lunch.But Nisha... she was not at all bothered about it.

3. In Umesh's case.. She was just eager to tell their cousins about his gf without realizing that it may cost him.. She reacted without thinking which was natural but was spilling the beans more important than the function going on??

Not Loving or Responsible

1. In first episode she arranged the party for dolly di.. Showed her loving side but than the bitter excanged with other cousins like Kriti and Sukku proved that she doesn't mind hurting other person when it comes to her.

2. She was even sad when Dolly dint come to the terrace to know about Umesh's gf without realizing that it was an imp day for Dolly.

3. I have not seen her doing something extra ordinary for any of her cousin... Like Umesh gifted that recipe book to Dolly. The party in 1st episode was more for herself rather than others.

4. She dint bother about mother that she must be worried about her coz she disappeared from the parlour but was enjoying her coffee with Jwala...

5. I had never seen her working in the marriage but instead she was busy eating gol gappas without realizing that it may affect Dolly's alliance as in india and specially Rajasthan.. The grooms are supposed to be superior and they can take anything as offence.

6. She wondered where that 5k went but never bothered about it much.. Is 5k such a small amount that she forgot it so easily?? I know Dadaji hid it but wasn't Nishu supposed to get worried about it as it get lost from her side.

Not Honest/Well mannered

1. We can see her lyting to save her own skin which is normal but she never scolded Sukku for leapaper leaking issue.. Her problem was the money but she was not bothered that her brother went on wrong path.

2. She was not bothered that Sukku-Kirti used wrong ways to take out money from the office clerk but was upset that they planned it without them.

3. Her way of speaking with elders is highly ill mannered.. The elders are also not very loving or supportive but to an extent she needs to learn the basic manners. LEt leave others but the way she reacted when her dad was trying to save some coins in his box.. I thought it was unnecessary for her to interfere in that.

4. Again gol gappa scene and her behavior with Dadaji... That time Dadaji wasn't even wrong or rude to her but the way she was eating while talking was disgusting... She should have stopped eating for a while and let Dadaji finish his talk.

Not Fun loving/Daring

1. The way she was behaving in all the ceremonies showed she can only enjoy in her own comfort zone.. She dint take part in any ritual and was not even wearing decent clothes...In western also she should have wear dresses which matches the function... Even the guys were wearing better dresses than her.

2. When the guys were chosing Mr. Right she was making faces instead of taking part in it. I know she is not interested in marriage but for her it was just a game. So she would have participated a bit.

3. She was scared to wear lehenga or dance shows that she doen't have guts to face the crowd.. She had guts to fight with boys who were teasing Kirti but when it comes to herself she is a coward. She can only fight but never do something substantial.

One more thing I would like to add... Nishu was supposed to be the one who solves everyone's proble but till now she is only the mess maker who created trouble for herself and others.. In lehenga case the promo stated that "What i will do now to save Umesh bhaiya" but did she really saved him?? Instead he was in trouble coz of him.. She stopped her Tauji from slapping Umesh but it was Granny who really saved him. Even in Sukku's case.. she sold her bike but created trouble for her father who knew about their plan. So I feel more than trouble solver.. she is trouble maker.

Sorry for the long post.. u may disagree with me.. And all ur opinions are welcomed. My opinion on Nisha may change in future episodes but till now Nishu is a complete let down for me. My expectations were too high from the show n the lead which is a tomboy like me but she disappointed me. I can't connect with her anymore. I am ready to accept the flawed lead which would be real but she should have at least few qualities which makes her different and special n not strange..

brilliant post vish.. 👏.. agree with u 👍🏼... sometimes nisha's behaviour look diferent, sometimes it looks strange and sometimes weird.. 😕😕.. sometimes it gets a bit difficult to understand her ... samaj nai ata ki wats the thing that is bothering her or wats going on in her mind..

I wish they focus a bit more on the background story as there are many questions which needs to be answered right from the first episode and which will also let us know that why is nishu's behaviour and attitude this way.. is she meant to be this way or is there some backstory to it...

Whatever you said, is what Nisha is and that's what makes this character interesting. She is a girl who has her own beliefs and she is adamant in proving she is right. She is yet to see how wrong she is. She believes in rebelling as she is seeing her parents suffer the suppression from the family.

The family is a loving family. It's not the usual joint family. They have their own problems between them but there is love no doubt. They are not the usual sugary family or the unrealistically usual plotting behind the back family. Nisha's ways of trying to prove her point has always backfired but she is yet to review herself. The family or the show hasn't justified that she is right too.

She probably has just completed her studies and now is going to be her testing time. The time when she spends maximum at home.

With Dolly's wedding being the center of focus, the characters are still getting established. Nisha's views over love and marriage, Umesh's GF everything is being set up to move the story after marriage I guess.

Nisha could be the lead, but for me, not just for this show, for any show the story is the lead. The story has been good. I don't watch promos, I don't read articles or anything. So the show keeps me guessing. It's fresh and refreshing. No one is perfect. In fact everyone has equal number of flaws- both elders and cousins which hopefully will be addressed in the future.
