From Friendship To Loveship
Madhu and Rk has been friends since childhood. As the days passed by the bond between them got stronger , they were inseparable. There parents were also good friends. Madhus father was a professor whereas Rks father was a business man , he was the owner of Kundra companies. Rk and Madhu after completing there studies have joined Rks father office as interns both of them are working very hard. It was almost a month since they have joined the company. Madhu was at Rks home they both were working on some presentation they had to submit. After completing it when Madhu was going home Radha , rks mother stopped her and said "Madhu beta where are you going without having dinner ! Come let eat " "Ok aunty lets have dinner by the way your son was not letting me eat anything before completing the work" "Awww... meri bachi , Rishu what is this. How can you do this? Come with me Madhu i will feed you from my hands . Padmini was telling me you are skipping breakfast in the morning , you will fall ill beta." "If i knew you were going to feed i would have left everything and come to you. You are the best" saying this Madhu hugged her. Rk interrupted " If you both are done we could have dinner" "See aunty he is jealous because you love me more than him " "That is not true madhu ,mom loves me more" "No she doesn't , when was the last time she fed you with her hands tell me??" Radha said "Both of you stop now. Lets have dinner and madhu also has to go back home". Three of them were having dinner. Rk and madhu were having fun pulling each others leg when they have almost finished their dinner Mohan , rks father entered the house "Arey madhu beta you are here !!! I wanted to talk something to you from long time but was not getting time. Come to study room when you are finished". After radha finished feeding madhu, madhu went to the study room.
When madhu entered the study room Mohan was already waiting for her "Come and sit with me Madhu, I wanted to talk to you something to you" "Yes uncle tell me what it is, Something important?" "Yes beta this is very important. I wanted to talk to your parents about this but later I decided to talk to you first and know your opinion", Madhu got very confused. "Beta you are like my daughter, you can tell me anything without hesitation there is no force. As now you and rishabh both has completed your studies and joined office I am very proud of you both. I have seen you from the day you were born , I have loved you like a daughter now i want to make you my daughter in law and bring in this house. I want you to marry Rish..." Mohan has not completed his sentence Rk barge in the room "No dad, what is this I have said you before only to not to discuss this topic with Madhu!!! Why don't you understand , Madhu ignore what dad have said. Come let me drop you to your house" saying this Rk dragged madhu out.
There was silence in the car. Madhu was feeling very bad , she dint knew when the friendship has changed into love. She loved Rk , they have always been together , he was everything for her. She thought one day or the other Rk will love her but what happened today broke her heart into pieces. Rishab should have talked to her she would have said No to uncle he dint have to be so rude but she couldn't tell anything to Rk she couldn't lose her friendship. She just wanted to go home and cry her heart out. Rk has rejected her on her face nothing could be more bad than this madhu thought. "Madhu I know you are embarrassed about what happened today and I am also saying Sorry about it. Now lets forget about everything I am addicted to your blabber. I guess you have made a record about keeping quite" Rk said."No rk i understand you don't need to be sorry about anything. Uncle is worried about you he just wants to get you married, Whats wrong in it !!" "I know madhu" "Any how you have to get married why not marry when uncle wishes" " I will marry madhu but.." "ok then we will start searching a girl for you " "Let it be madhu" "No rishu you have to listen to me"madhu said they have reached her home. "Ok bye madhu" "Bye Rishu".
Next day in office at lunch time Madhu and Rk were having lunch together. Madhu said " Am I your Best friend Rishu??" "Yes you are but why are you asking" "Will you do whatever i tell ??" "Yes madhu , Have i ever said No to you" "I know you always listen to me but this time I need a promise" "Ok madhu I promise to do whatever you tell me. Now what is your order Your Highness" "As you know Uncle wants to get you married and as we have planned to search a girl for you, I have planned something for you" "What have you planned madhu?" "From today till the next 5 days you will go to Dinner date with 5 different girls on the sixth day you will be free and given time to think and on the seventh day you will tell your decision which girl you liked the most" "No madhu never" "Rishu you promised me now you cannot back out" "But what if i don't like any of the girls??" "Oh nothing to worry will do this again but with different girls" "Let me think about it " "No rishu you don't have a choice. Be ready at 8 o'clock ,Hotel Orchids Table will be booked under your name and Dont be late" "Ok" rk said with no choice left.
Later that evening madhu was standing infront of Rks wardrobe choosing clothes for him "What is this rishu you don't have any nice clothes!!!" "Lets me remind you Madhu, you are the one who chooses clothes for me while buying and now you are not liking any of them. Madhu i am wearing this black shirt and jeans" "Ok but i think we need to do some shopping for you" "No madhu never from tomorrow you wont choose clothes for me I can get ready myself" "Arey rishu but.." "Madhu NO" "Ok now go or you will be late" "Ok bye" "But dont forget to call me , I will be waiting for your call I need every single detail" "Ok your highness any more orders" "No you may proceed now" "Bye" "Bye".
Rk reached the hotel and asked about the table the waiter showed him the direction. Madhu was sitting on the bed taking her favorite teddy and was staring at her mobile. Padmini madhus mom entered the room "Arey madhu beta you dint sleep till now" "No mama I am actually waiting for rishu call ,he was supposed to call me" "Beta he must have been busy or it might have slipped out of his minds Its 11:30 now you should sleep and why are you wearing this Hello Kitty shirt with the pajama, you only wear it when you are tensed is something wrong??" "Nothing mom I just wanted to wear this" "Ok if there is anything remember you can share with me beta" "I know mom , Love you Good night" "Good night" saying this padmini went out of the room. Madhu kept staring at her phone Rk dint call her she was feeling sad he must be enjoying with the trishna , he got so busy her that he dint remember calling her .Madhu slept with tears in her eyes.
Next day at office madhu decided to ignore Rk , whenever rk tried to talk to her madhu made some or the other excuse and went away. Rk came infront of madhu and stopped her"Madhu stoop I need to talk to you" "Rishu I will talk to you later, Uncle has asked me to bring Sharma company's file. I need to go" "Madhu i gave the files to dad almost half an hour before. I know you are angry on me that i dint call you but i just slept after coming to home I was very tired" Rk says but madhu gave no reply "Madhu it was your stupid idea about the date. If you don't talk to me now I wont go to any other date" "Okay I forgive you I was waiting for you till late night " "You could have called me" "No, I dint want to disturb you" "Madhu you are my best friend nothing is more important than you" "Awww... rishu you are the best"saying this madhu hugged him "Now tell me how was your date" "I would love to sit in an empty room rather than meeting her again. She spoke nothing she replied only when i asked her some question it was sort of interview, there was a grin always plastered to her mouth and she just kept staring at me That was so annoying you know, I felt like talking to a wall"Rk said making a angry face. Madhu started laughing listening to rk , Rk gave madhu a stern look but madhu couldn't control her laughter. Rk got up and was going angrily madhu stopped "Sorry rishu I know i shouldn't have laughed but what to do i was not able to control my laughter" "Madhu stop it now lets go and have lunch" "Okay lets go".Later that evening Rk dropped madhu to her house after getting out of the car madhu said "Sharp 8 at hotel Ohris, Table no 14 and don't be late" "Ok i will not be late and will not forget to call you""Bye'' ''Bye".
Rk reached hotel at 8 but he was not wanting to go in. He made a call to madhu"Hi madhu I have reached the hotel so thought to inform you" "Ok rishu now go in" "Yes I am going in" "Bye" "Madhu do I really have to go in" "Rishu No more arguments keep the call and go in Bye" "Bye". Rk went to the table no 14 he was first he sat there waiting for the girl. A girl came and said "You are rk right" "Yes I am " "I am Meera" "Have a seat"rk said. The girl was pretty, She wore glasses and had silky hairs which she had kept open. Rk was impressed but he was confused about what to say next. The girl pushed her glasses back on her nose and started looking here and there."The weather is so wonderful isnt it?" "Yes the weather is good but nowadays the heat is increasing ...
It was late at night and madhus phone started ringing, she saw the callers name it was Rk. She picked up the call"Hello Rishu" "Open the door Madhu" "What??" "Open the door madhu i am standing infront of your house" "Coming rishu give me a minute". Madhu ran to the door and opened it, Rk came in and directly went to madhus room and sat on the bed. Madhu also silently sat on the bed. Then rk started "Madhu do you know the world is going to end and we all are going to die" "What??" "Do you that because of global warming everything will finish" "Rishu is everything alright" "Do you know that many species of animals are getting extinct" "Rishu what is wrong" "Do you know we have to save tigers" "Rishu i am not understanding what you want to tell" "Do you in coming years something big from space is coming to hit the earth" "Rishu stop it tell me what the matter is!!!" "The stupid girl whom you made me to meet today is a Psycho. When i asked her about the weather she started giving me a lecture about global warming and pollution. When i ordered chicken she was staring me like I have killed thousand of people and then she started telling me about how all the the animals will get extinct if we dont start protecting them and blah blah and then when i tried to divert the topic she started telling about the space and how we all are going to die"Rk said in a single breath. Madhu controlled her laughter and said "Sometime it happens rishu. You will have to suffer all this until you find your better half" "I don't want to find anyone madhu , I am very happy with you" "Rishu stop being stubborn" "No madhu never" "Rishu you promised me" "Only this 5 girls after this we are done with this stupid idea" "I will think about it" "No madhu , the decision should be in my favor" "Lets hope for the best"
Next day was a very busy day for madhu and rk there was lot of work at office they barely got time to talk. At almost 5 o'clock Mohan called both of them in his cabin. "Rishab and Madhu i know you are busy with the project but don't skip meals,go and have lunch. Padmini has called me two times to check if you had your lunch your phone is switched off it seems" "Oh i dint check my mobile from morning it must be in the bag" "No problem beta now you both go and eat or else radha will say I am being a very strict boss and giving you both loads of work and no time to eat" "No not at all you are the best boss uncle"madhu said. Rk and madhu both sat to eat lunch "Rishu I have brought something special for you" "Wow madhu thats great but please don't tell me you have cooked it" "Rishu don't be mean I am not that bad cook but today mom had made chicken curry and she has send for you also" "Oh that's very nice. I am so famished and after yesterday i am desperate need of this"madhu chuckled and said "Lets eat but rishu don't forget, Today at 9 o clock Hotel Blue Flower" "As you say madhu"
Rk reached the hotel 15 mins late , he was very tired and he just prayed that this time it is a normal girl. He asked the waiter about the table booked under his name when the waiter showed rk the table he was shocked to see the girl. The girl looked like she was dressed up for marriage and with the makeup she looked like a clown, rk slowly stepped back and then ran to his car. In the car rk was confused about what to do he knew he couldn't spend few minutes also with that girl and if he would inform Madhu she would force him to meet that girl atleast, so rk decided to go back to his home.He went to his home spend some time with his mother and then he messaged madhu "Hi madhu. I am very tired and sleepy will talk to you tomorrow".
Next day at office Madhu dint seem very angry on Rk , he thought it was a lucky day for him and rk started the conversation "Madhu you know yest..." madhu dint let rk complete the sentence "Rishu did you go yesterday?" "Yes I went" "Did you meet the girl?" "No madhu as I promised I went to the hotel but when i saw the girl I couldn't go and meet her. Madhu she looked like a clown with loads of makeup and no dressing sense" "You could have at least meet her Rishu" "No madhu if you would have seen her you would also run away" "Rishu this is not done. Promise me that you will meet the girl !!!" "Please madhu No" "Rishu you need to promise or else I wont talk to you" "Madhu this is wrong you are black mailing me" "Rishu I need the promise" "Ok madhu I promise to meet the girl and any more orders your highness" "Yes today at sharp 8 at Hotel Royal" "Okay anything more " "No" ''Are you sure" "Yes".
Rk reached the hotel early , he was waiting for the girl this time he prayed for a normal girl. After a lot of wait the girl came she was half an hour late. A girl came to the table "Hi this is Riya" "Hi I am rk" "Its good to meet you" "Same here" "Riya you look nice" "Thank you this dress...
Madhu was having her dinner with her parents when there was a knock on the door. Madhu went and opened the door. She was shocked to Rk here "Rishu you were supposed to be at your date. What happened" "I escaped from there and come here madhu" "What!!!" "Yes I acted as if a call come and I excused myself and moved away from the table and when she was looking at me I ran out of there" rk said at that moment Padmini madhus mother interrupted in between "Rishab you here, come lets have dinner" "Ok aunty lets move and thank you for the Chicken curry it was delicious" "Welcome beta if you want to eat it again you can let me know i will surely cook for you" padmini said. Rk gestured madhu tat he will tell her what happened later. At the table Malik madhus father was also there "Rishab beta how are you?" "I am good uncle, How is it going with the new students are they troubling you??" "No beta I can manage them, how is everything at office Mohan always keeps praising about you and madhu" "Office is going nicely its a month now since we joined so we are getting used to all the work" they continued talking. After the dinner finished madhu asked rk to come to her room immediately. Rk just nodded his head and followed silently he knew he was in deep trouble. When they reached the room madhu said "Rishu what is this how could you leave the girl alone and come" "Madhu that girl was crazy if i wouldn't have ran away i would have become mad" "Tell me what she did" "Madhu she was crazy she kept talking and talking and dint give me chance to reply. She kept telling about this brand that brand how costly her designer dress was and the bag she got from Paris winter collection" "So" madhu said with a stern face "Madhu i couldn't tolerate her. I promised you to meet the girl so i met her by the way i told a waiter to inform her that i had some urgent work so i had to leave" "Rishu how could you leave her at the hotel and come like this , now promise me that this wont be repeated" "Madhu this is unfair you want me to be tortured by all type of girls" "Yes I want you to be tortured. Now promise me" "Ok I promise this will not be repeated but don't forget it is the last i am going tomorrow"
Next day when madhu said the hotel name rk mentally decided that this would be last one, he decided to end madhus search he knew this was the time to do something, If not today never. Rk reached the hotel late because of the traffic when he went to the table the girl was already waiting he said "Sorry for being late I got stuck in the traffic by the way I am rk" "No problem rk i understand traffic nowadays, but i wouldn't mind waiting for you and I am Deepali you can call me Dips if you like" saying this she winked at rk "Oh that is so sweet of you but i think deepali is better and again sorry for keep you waiting" "Who would mind waiting for such a handsome boy like you ...
Madhu was watching a movie when her phone buzzed it was a message from Rk she opened the message "HELP , madhu i need help i am at hotel" madhu checked the time it was almost 11 she started getting worried the hotel was near to her home it was a 15 minute walk. Madhu immediately took her phone and started for the hotel, when she reached the hotel she called rk he picked up the call in first ring"Hello rishu where are you i am outside the hotel is everything ok" "Madhu wait outside I am coming in a minute" When rk came out madhu sighed in relief to see rk fit and fine"Rishu why did you message me for help is everything alright. I was so worried" "No madhu nothing is alright , that deepali is on a plan to seduce me and i cant tolerate it and I cant run away because i promised you. So i asked your help" "Rishu do you have any idea how worried I got seeing your message" "Sorry madhu but i couldn't sit there" "Rishu if you say like this we will never be able to find someone for you , what type of girl do you want Rishu" "Madhu i want a simple girl who will care for me and love me. I need a girl who doesn't care about the world when it comes to me. I need a girl who will come running when she thinks I am in problem. Madhu i need a girl who doesn't care that she is wearing a Hello Kitty shirt with pajama when she is worried for me " Madhu got surprised hearing to rk she looked down to her dress she was wearing the pink hello kitty shirt and she realized that she had not changed her dress before coming her in hurry. "Rishu ... you .." "Yes madhu I love you , I dont know from when and how but all i know I love you and i want to spend my life with you" rk said. Madhu hugged rk and said "I love you too Rishu, Why dint you tell me this before, i have lost all my hopes" "Madhu i was scared to lose our friendship " "Then why did you get so angry when Uncle talked about our marriage" "Madhu dad knows that i love you. He thought I would never be able to confess my feeling so he wanted to help me like this but i dint want you to marry me in under any force or pressure" "You know how bad i felt at that time" "Sorry madhu I am glad everything is ok now.
