I think its not so much she wants to separate them. Its more that a) she's jealous even though she denies it, and b) she wants them both to be unhappy.

Of course, she is not thinking right otherwise the first question she should have asked herself is if they were living as husband and wife these last five years (per AD) then why do they have to do a suhaag raat? Afterall every night for the last five years would have been a suhaag raat!! Don't the writers think we have brains that we won't remember these things? Its not as if it was too far back that AD told Bani that lie...
