This topic might get closed because its little unrelated but I am just asking everyones opinion..

We live in the 21st century, everything is at your finger tips.. that was very evident in yesterday episode when aroob and sana helped bilal in getting more info on vit d. You can see, get any info just in a click or touch of a button so my question is why is kissing on screen (i am talking light kisses not the I am going bite ur lips off kind of kiss) such a taboo... censor board says kids watch these shows but kids watch cartoon, they see the character couple kiss, so an animated people can been shown kissing but not living people..Trust me, kids now a days are not dumb, they know more now than what I knew when I was in their age.. 😆 .. Many on screen couple interact soo closely and share great comfort level with each other and on top they are actors all they have to do is act.. So why is still looked down upon on a onscreen kiss of two people who play the part of husband-wife.. WHY IS IT STILL SUCH A BIG TABOO TO SHOW A LIGHT AND SWEET KISS>>>>😕

Personally, I hace nothing against no obe kissing if it is mellowed down. Cause as you said the children indeed know more than me when I was their age.
but India is such a country where stuff like these are hushed up. The elders protest in the name of children even if they aren't particulary bothered.

hello...me fr d 1st time posting on dis forum n saw dis post...
Very nice ques TM has put on...
I think if d cvs can show d consummation scene on tv shows dat dere should not be any problem in a kiss even if its on lips...i think kiss seems to be more decent dan d consummation scene...
But dan its about actors too...its dere decision n if we agree wid dat or not but we cant do anything in dat case

Yes, people still make a big deal about it. I personally see nothing wrong in it. There have been a few that have done it and the publicity that it gets is crazy. It's even written about in the newspaper...

First of all welcome to our forum,😃 as far as actors are considered they are just keeping the society in mind and stay away from these scenes.. once the society changes their thinking pattern shows and actors will also become more bold in these scene... but that is a long long way to go...😆

I this is mostly because of the kind of audience we have. In India, values, traditions and all that is so very important. In Indian telly god forbid there is an actual kiss, it has to be very controversial. Coz it is a big deal. But it is slowly, okay extremely slowly changing. Audience are getting more sensible. Hope for the best

Ya .. I agree... maybe in another 6-8 years there will be lots of difference... actors have their lips millimeters from each other but does not touch.. Its strange indian audience can accept to see that but not the actual kiss... 😕
