Okay two guesses for the riddle
1) Wand
2) Elder Wand

Thought I think Wand is heavier

A portrayal of trust and friendship a wand is a bond of trust between it and the owner
But betrayal is not unheard of it can work in the hands of another
It is sometimes more trouble than worth the spells if not said correctly can cause disasters
For it might put one's life at stake the wand defends owner and can kill opponent in duel
Death make matters complex
For it is not just the body that goes into the grave owner is buried with wand
Something else might be lost forever
Unless entrusting is considered. the wand may not work unless won by the opponent by disarm or death

To me this is how it fitted. But not 100% sure
