Not sure if it is the answer but it does fit the clues in some ways , " action for two" could be " Fred and George in OoTP" , difficult for the " gifted" could be Hermione perhaps ( she was terrible at flying)..

Saw me in action for two, Gilderoy used it in COS and he tried to on Harry and Ron.
However not as I do. The spell back fired so it wasn't what was intended
Hard was it for the gifted, Hermione used it first on her own parents.
With me plenty is lifted. With the charm the person looses his/her memory.
