shah jahan built the marble palaces that we find in agra fort and he renovated Lahore, Kabul forts and he built the entire red fort at delhi, taj mahal.
Jehangir and Aurangzeb hardly built anything compared to the above
Aurangzeb I think built a bit in Aurangabad and increased walls of agra fort, red fort to stop attackers
Jehangir built more gardens, majority Mughal gardens built by him only whether Kashmir, delhi, agra etc
The Mughal empire collapsed for 3 reasons
1) Shah jahan spent lot on taj mahal and treasury was almost empty
2) Auragnzeb was orthodox and people revolted
3) The Mughals followed farticide- killing brothers, fathers for throne and hence the Mughal empire was weakened a lot

I am talking post Akbar era when the other emperors spent more earned less and yes Akbar built many forts and palaces at different place which were subsequently altered at some places and/but he also earned lot of income through his policies and as you said the mughal empire just collapsed soon after Auragzeb because of his rigid orthodox policies killing most of his able sons and also uncles brothers and their sons and corruption and rot had set in the administration of the empire when he died there was no brave mughals left only his old totering sons and equally tottering grandsons who could not fight for their empire and so it fell to the britishers Shahjahen also built Red fort at Delhi which also consumed lot of money and left the coffers nearly blank.

Yes Aurangzeb put 3 sons in jail for extended period and one son ran off to mecca and died a destitute. He had supressed his sons, gerandsons fear psychosis too much for them to be good emperors

thanks friends but there are still many pics
i-e Lal burj tower, Jahangir Kwabgah ,underground rooms with secret passage, mughal doors ,sikh gallery, armour gallery etc etc
as i messed up the info & lost many pics so leaving them

Akbar era is known for starting religious tolerance period not in the starting but later after Akbar was in his 30's & also expending mughal empire

Jahangir era is the richest cultural period he didn't persue military consequences but extended mughal empire to Bengal

ShahJahan era is the rischest architecture era but mughal treasury affected also known for military consequences

Auragzaib rule Mughal empire reached its greatest physical size but after his last years & deat signs of decline

so overall i think Jahngir period can be called the richest & peaceful era of Mughal Empire
