I've never been in love, so I couldn't tell you but there is a quote or two that I've read that I can give you in response because I think they are very well put š.
"Love is a sweet breeze that tickles your feelings when you have closely shut your heart. Love is an unexpected guest that doesn't even knock on the door and just invades your soul without asking permission." -- Unknown
"True love is not about being with someone you trust. It's about being with someone who is capable of breaking your heart but trusting them not to." -- Unknown
But in my personal opinion -- love is an experience that differs for everyone. I don't think anyone can actually put into words what 'love' is.
You may as well call it a 'force of nature', and as defined by Deborah Anapol:
"Love cares what becomes of you because love knows that we are all interconnected. Love is inherently compassionate and empathic. Love knows that the "other" is also oneself. This is the true nature of love and love itself cannot be manipulated or restrained. Love honors the sovereignty of each soul. Love is its own law."
And that's obviously more than one sentence... haha... sorry
