Today's Take - Myrah Has Amnesia 😉
Myrah Has Amnesia ... not the drug induced one, a previously existing one. She has completely forgotten that she's engaged to be married in the next few days.
And she's in love with the idea of love ... or rather, with the idea of a brooding, romantic angry man (can't call him young 😉) with a past ... and that she is drawing him out of his terrible past with the strength of her love. She's even hearing very unmelodious bells (that was GH's idea of humor after all ... should have known 🤢), violins and guitars, and the sound of her own heartbeat.
She has a rude awakening coming to her ... I feel sorry for her. A girl as yet untouched by love ... by her own admission, she doesn't know what it is, has never felt it, and doesn't even believe in it all that much. And now she sees a man, fierce, passionate, protective ... a man who has a deep hidden sorrow, that makes him even more attractive, a man, who despite his initial aversion to her, is brave, noble, gentlemanly ... a man all the best romantic novels ... and quite a few TV serials 😉 ... are made of.
And it seems to her that she, young, bubbly chirpy Myrah, has managed to break that tough crusty exterior, and is reaching that man's heart ... just like it happens in the movies.😳
She kissed him ... she vaguely remembers that. He kissed her ... she vaguely remembers that too. Of everything she has forgotten of what happened during that drug-induced haze, she remembers two crucial points ... and they seem to spell it out clearly - or as clearly as Myrah can think, with her limited understanding of love.
She's in love with Rudra. And maybe ... just possibly ... he's also in love with her.
Myrah's speed of falling in love was about the same as Paro's ... with far less reason. He rescued me, he's a good guy, ergo ... I love him!
But then, Paro was a more mature girl, despite being almost illiterate and rural ... Myrah, educated and urban, is far more immature.
Like I said, she has a rude awakening coming to her ... heartbreak before she has even tasted the sweetness of true love.
But that will be the path to her growth.
But why did she say 'Major Saab'? And why did she reach up on her toes to kiss him, exactly the way Paro used to do? Was it old, suppressed memories struggling to the surface during the drugged phase?
Jaanne ke liye dekhte rahiye ... Rangrasiya, har raat, 9.30 baje ... not for aath saal, though. 😉
All the beautiful collages by ultimaterudra (Shwetha) ... thanks, Shwetha, and welcome back! 😃
