Part 10:
Shocked would have been a understatement to describe Navya's feelings for the moment. She was getting to see heights of his ego here and she was feelings if it was a test of her patience. But she decided to fail in this test as patience is not answer to certain things to special people like The Anant Bajpai. She told in a dangerously loud and heavy voice,
"Yeh kya batmeezi hai?"
"Abhi maine batmeezi shuru hi kahan ki hai, madam!! Batmeezi ke definition ko tum hamare Suhaag Raat ko dekho gi" he replied in a husky voice with a smirk.
She was shocked with his reply and terrified by hearing about Suhaag Raat from him. She decided to act as if she didn't hear that part and told,
"where are you keeping me after this kidnapping is successful?" she replied with courage.
" Who told you that I am kidnapping you? waise kitni bolti ho! Aage aage dekho hota hai kya" he replied in his usual naughty tone.
She decided to keep quiet. After some time, the car stopped in front of a temple and Anant said after opening her side door,
"Neeche uthro"
She obeyed him, involuntarily. He closed the door and held her hand. He started moving swiftly and Navya was struggling to cope up with him. Still she didn't know why they came to a temple as during 2 months of work as his PA she realised that he didn't believe in God much as he thought why would his parents die so fast if God was there. They came up and Anant left her hand. She shouted,
" Why have you brought me here?"
" To make you Mrs. Navya Anant Bajpai from Miss Navya Mishra"
" Are you in your senses, Mr Anant? You want to marry a girl whom you have used once!! What are you trying to prove? That Anant Bajpai can have anyone in this world or No one can defeat Anant Bajpai in the matter of ego?"
" Yes, I am completely in my senses! I am trying to prove that no girl in this world can reject Anant Bajpai."
" and what if I don't agree to marry you?"
He was surprised at her new found courage and bravery. He always knew she was different and he was getting another proof of the same. He replied,
" Your friend Ritz's marriage will not take place. Don't even think I can't do it because you know who I am!! Even Ranbir doesn't dare to argue with me or fight back"
She was shocked at cruelty and selfishness of the person in front of her. all her courage was lost listening to his words. Ritz has been everything to her especially after Appy left to a new place from there. She can't let this happen but her life will be destroyed. she tried to fight back for the last time on this matter.
" You can't do this!! You want me to join your office!! I will do that!! Please don't stop this marriage" she said with joined hands and tears flowing like rivers.
He felt pity but he ego was dominant today," No Navya. I want you to be my wife!! If you don't want this to happen, you have to marry me and accept me as your husband" he said with a sense of finality in his voice.
" OKAY FINE!! DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!! BUT REMEMBER YOU ARE COMMITTING A SIN AND YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!!"
He gave a 'I don't care' look and held her and instructed the priest over there to read the mantras. He was handed over a Mangalsutra and he tied it with any emotions/expressions on his face. He took a pinch of sindoor and filled her maang with it. She felt her life ending, her world crashing but was happy for her friend who was everything to her. Anant made Navya bend down to take blessings from the priest and he blessed him a happy life though Navya felt certain that it was not possible at least in her case. They sat in the car and Anant started driving. He was happy that he got what he wanted but somewhere his heart was aching as it knew what he was doing was not right!! They reached home. The function had completed and only the family members, Ranbir's family and Ritz were present there. Anant rang the bell and Nimisha opened the door. Everyone was shocked seeing them like that as they could notice Mangal sutr and Sindoor. Anant understood that and said to the people who came running to the door,
" I know we shocked you all. But what should we do? We loved each other eversince she worked for me and couldn't wait to marry. Sorry for the sudden sweet surprise." he said with a puppy face and he held Navya's hand tightly who was shocked with his words again to compose herself and not to contradict him. Everyone was happy and Ritz was shocked that her best friend could hide something so important but was very happy for her.Nimisha was told by Dadi to do the Aarti and she did it happily. When the grih pravesh ritual was completed, they were about to enter when Nimisha said,
" Bhai, shaadi hone se pyaar aur romance kam hogaye kya? Maine toh socha tha ki mera bhai bohot romantic hai par shayad main galat thi!! Kon itne dry type grih pravesh akrta hai!!"
" Nimi, kisne kaha main romantic nahi hoon? Aur mujhe kya karna hoga tha ki main prove kar sa koon ki main romantic hoon?"
" Aapke karya dikha rahe hain ki aap romantic nahi hain. Kya karna hai yeh aap ko khud hi soch na hoga"
He smirked naughtily and immediately picked up Navya in his arms which made her gasp in surprise and everyone started giggling. He said,
" Hogayi tasalli mere behen ko!! Aab mujhe ek aur rasm poori karne hamare room main jaana hoga. shubh raatri priya jano." He said huskily and shamelessly looking at the angelic innocentl looking beauty in this arms which made Navya blush.
They let him go without any fuss like neeg and things like that.She had to hold his neck because he was pacing very fast which gave her chance to fall down though Anant would never let that happen.
