A Star Too Soon? Rajkummar Rao's hilarious SUV Story

This is a tragic comic tale, in the classic filmy sense.
Rajkummar Rao, the thinking actor, is in a fix. Buoyed by the very positive reviews that his solo lead film "Citylights" received, Rao decided to give himself a Bollywood style treat and bought a SUV, the expensive Audi Q7.
It's no secret that the Audi Q7 is one of Bollywood's most preferred rides, and is owned by the likes of Bipasha Basu, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, John Abraham, Kajol and Emraan Hashmi.
Rao believed that the success of "Citylights" (relative success, at best! with about Rs.8 crores in revenues), will make him a financially viable star with big pay cheques.
So far, though, he is yet to sign a really big movie, or get a crore sized pay cheque. In fact, Rao hasn't crossed the Rs.30 lakh mark in remuneration is what we hear.
Therefore, maintaining the monthly payments for a Q7, and its fuel costs is taking a toll on him. Rao was recently heard complaining loudly about the financial strain that his fancy wheels have placed on him.
Well, well, now - we suppose caution is the key to a stable financial future, as all mutual funds and insurance ads tell us. Perhaps Rao needs to slow down on starry lifestyle condiments for now!
